“Adaeze! You're not going to any xeyol oh!”. Mama Adaeze whined when she heard her daughter say she was going to Seoul, Korea. Adaeze and her father, the king burst out laughing. “Achalugo! Lolo! Eze nwaanyị. It is not Ceyol, it's Seoul”. Her husband corrected her with a smile while calling her pet names sweetly making Adaeze smile shyly and jealously and shouting‘God when’ every two seconds. Likely more as a statement than a question. “Who asked you? Ehn? Ceyil oh, Seoul oh, I don't care. Adaeze is not going there!”.Mama Ada firmly stated hitting the back of one palm against the other and doing vice versa while pronouncing the city name wrong on the first try and then finally getting it on the second try. “Mama, please na”. Adaeze pleaded with her mother. “Ada, why didn't you choose Obodo oyinbo places like America o-or the UK? Why Korea? ehn?”. Mama Ada queried. Mama Adaeze did not want to hear anything. Even though her husband was pleading with her too. Her husband was the King. He could as well just ask Adaeze to go, but he was one to listen to other peoples opinion on a matter before taking an action. “But Mama, Korea is Obodo oyinbo too na”.Adaeze chipped in. Earning herself a heavy ‘bombastic side eye’ from her mother. ““Lolo, but we both promised not to enforce our likes on our children oh, ehn? Why are you acting this way my love?”.He pleaded with his wife. “Eze nwanyị ”. Mama Ada called the attention of her husband and he turned to her. “What she is going to do in that Korea, can she not do it in America?”. “Ehn Mama, what I'm going to do in America, can't I do it in Korea?”. ~~~ “Hyun-Min ah!”. Hyun-Min's mother called his attention. “네, 엄마”. Hyun Min turned his attention to his mother. Hyun-Min was going away to Seoul. He was going to seek greener pastures. He was of a not so well of background. “My son, please know why you're going there okay? Don't trail off the path of your goals for whatsoever reasons”. Hyun-Min's mother said with tears threatening to fall from her eyes. Hyun-Min hugged his mother softly and she burst into tears. *Sob Sob* Hyun-Min's twin sisters, Sa-Rang and Yong -Pil were crying softly in the back. “우리는 보고싶을 거야, 오빠!”. Those were the voices of Hyun-Min's sisters letting him know that he'll be missed while he'll be away. He crouched down to their levels and enveloped them into a big bear hug. “I'll miss you too Sa-Rang ah. I'll miss you too Yong -Pil ah”. “Hyun-Min ah”. His father called. He released his crying sisters and turned to his father. His father enveloped him in a hug and tapped his back repeatedly. “Listen to what your mother said. Be focused on your aim, my son. Make us proud”. Hyun-Min's father smiled at him and he returned the smile. His mother and sisters came near and they all hugged themselves tearily. Chapter 1: Two Worlds: Far Apart.
