"We'll see you at home, Elizabeth," Charles told her as the walked back towards the house. Elizabeth nodded, she knew without him saying anything else that he was taking Mary out to hunt. Elizabeth felt relief at the idea of having a few hours alone to process everything that had happened tonight, she felt guilty that their hunt brought her relief knowing that someone would die tonight. He used to take her with him on his hunts. Sometimes he would use her as bait, playing on her past profession or at least what he understood of it. Or he would recreate the night in the alley when he had met her, only in a bizarre twist he would 'rescue ' her from her terrible fate before anything went too far.
