“I’m a pastry chef,” the cook huffed out. “Oh, well then. Something edible for dessert?” Charles asked. “Bittersweet chocolate tarts with spiced almonds,” the cook nervously shifted his grip on the knife. Charles looked at Milos to see if he was watching for him to attack. “There are three ways to kill a vampire: Immolation by exposure to fire or direct sunlight. Decapitation. And stabbing them directly in the heart,” he told the cook in a hushed voice.
