★LUCIANO★
"Quick question, Master Luciano. Please where is my son, Pablo? I haven't seen him around."
Casting a cursory glance at Romano, I clenched my fist. Beforehand, I had instructed him to tell her Pablo went on a long trip to Africa. So for her to be asking me that same f*****g question all over again, meant Romano failed to do so.
Romano dropped his gaze to meet the floor and I twitched my lips before returning my attention to Andrea.
"Pablo is not going to be around for a long time," I informed her. "I sent him on a mission to Africa and don't bother trying to contact him. There is no network in his location."
She stared at me quizzically but before she could think of saying anything else, I was already on the way to my room.
Entering my room, I shut the door behind me. Afterward, I plopped on the bed and heaved a sigh. These past few days have f*****g stressful. Furthermore, I was expecting some merchandise from Russia tonight so I'd have to visit the seaport to wait for the arrival and inspect my goods.
I inhaled deeply and exhaled afterward. Then I closed my eyes shut, I haven't been sleeping a lot lately. Maybe I'd have to visit my therapist later on.
As soon as I was beginning to drift asleep, a soft knock interrupted me once more and I let out a loud groan.
"Come in!"
Almost at once, Romano walked into the room and closed the door softly behind him.
"What is it?" I groaned, rubbing my eyes tiredly.
"Boss." He said in more like a whisper. "Adriano is here!"
Instantly, I pulled myself to a sitting position with a loud gasp.
Adriano and his sister, Adriana were the spies I planted with my enemy, Ashton Ramos. So whenever either of them came here, that meant trouble was looming. A whole truck of troubles.
My eye shot up to him. "Where is he?"
"He is sitting at the lounge, Boss."
Without further ado, I jolted to my feet and dashed out of my room, with Romano following right behind me. "What of Mrs. Andrea?"
"George has taken her shopping, Boss."
I gave him a quick nod and trudged down the flight of stairs. Immediately Adriano saw me, he rose to his feet and bowed a smidgeon. "Greetings, Boss."
"Greetings," I responded, readjusting the hem of my pants. "Please sit."
Adriano plopped on the couch. Then I took a seat across from him. My eyes stared intently at his face as I waited for whatever he was about to say. But I knew, no matter what, it wasn't going to be a piece of good news.
He swallowed hard and heaved a sigh. "Boss, my sister discovered that Ashton is going to attack your shipment coming in tonight."
I swallowed the lump in my throat and hardened my jaw. "What?"
"Yes, Boss." He added quickly. "They are planning to move by 10 pm prompt to intersect the ship and cart away all your merchandise. Then they will burn a little to make it seem like an accident."
"That son of a b***h!" I cussed out loud. Clenching my fist in fury, I rose to my feet to think of the best strategic way to abort their plan.
"Just give me the order, Boss. I will get it done." Romano chipped in.
I stomped my right foot repeatedly on the floor. Then I turned to Adriano. "Thanks for the piece of information. Do you and your sister need anything?" I asked, rubbing my stubble.
Adriano shook his head. "No, Boss."
"Then you may leave now. I don't want Ashton to notice your absence. I hate to admit it, but he is a lot smarter than you think. If you need anything...." I entrusted a burner phone into his palm. "....Call me with this, so you don't have to come here all the time to share this news with me."
Adriano nodded his head then he shoved the burner phone into his jacket pocket. "Yes, Boss."
Having said that, he walked out of the door immediately. Then I turned to Romano. "Get the boys ready. We are going in for a hell of a fight."
Romano nodded and scurried away quickly to carry out my order. Several thoughts ran through my head as I kept on strategizing the best way to attack them. Alas, I came up with a solution.
Without wasting much time, I dashed up the stairs into my room. Then I slipped into my leather jacket, strapped my pocket knife to my belt, and loaded my gun with bullets. Ashton knew damn well not to mess with me.
"Motherfucking son-of-a-b***h!"

By the time we arrived at the seaport, there were no traces of movement around. I beckoned on my men to stay alert as we made our way closer to the depot.
All of a sudden, sporadic gunshots started to fly in the air. This mother f*****g assholes had beat us to the time. "Take cover!" I ordered my men as I also shuffled around to do the same.
The battle was fierce with bullets and dead bodies dropping to the floor. But damn! That was what the mafia game was all about. It's not a place for chitchats. And not for the weak-hearted.
I fired at one of the men, hiding behind a tree and he dropped dead instantly, cussing alongside.
"Motherfuckers!" I spat.
My men were trying their best to fight as hard as they could. While I, on the other hand, was also doing my part. As soon as I plunged my dagger into one of the unsuspecting men's eyes, I observed a movement from the corner of my eyes.
My gaze narrowed into mere slits. Ashton f*****g Ramos was trying to get away! I could notice him anywhere and anytime. He has this kind of indescribable lean figure that makes it very easy to identify him amongst a large multitude of people.
Without further ado, I went after him. Sneaking up behind him as quietly as I could, I raised my dagger to strike him at the base of his neck. When a sharp pain slashed through my arm.
"f**k!" I winced in pain and cursed out loud. Wasting no time, I fired the mother fucker who plunged the dagger into my arm. His bloodshot eyes remained open in horror as he dropped to the floor. "Bastard!" I spat on him. Then I returned my gaze to the direction I found Ashton.
Unfortunately, he was gone. He has taken notice of my presence and disappeared into thin air. Nursing my injured arm, I tore out the shirt from the guy I just shot then I used it to wrap my wound to stop me from bleeding. Although it reduced a little, the bleeding didn't stop.
But, that wasn't enough to make me give up so soon.
Loading some bullets into my pistol, I went after Ashton Ramos. But to my greatest disappointment, his car was already driving off.
"Don't feel bad, Luciano. You didn't get him today, but you might get him some other time." I told myself and ran back to the seaport.
My heart fell to the floor when I saw some of my men laying dead on the floor. But most of Ashton's men had taken the fall for it. Romano and the rest of them captured a few alive.
I smirked. "I guess today is my lucky day." with a chuckle, I added. "The two of you better give me what I want, or you'd be sorry."
"Boss," Romano called, surveying me from head to toe. "What happened to your arm?" concern and curiosity were evident on his face.
I glanced at my bleeding arm and shrugged. "What is a fight without blood, huh?"
He stared past me and shot one of Ashton's men trying to escape with an injured leg.
"Tie these up. We are taking them with us." I instructed him then I walked to the seaport to observe my merchandise. "Luke, Ace, and Martin...take them to the mansion and lock them up. Romano join me, let's observe the merchandise."
"Yes, Boss." The three of them dispersed with the two men to the vehicle. While Romano and I walked up to the ship to confirm if it arrived with my merchandise. When I saw it did, I smiled to myself.
"Call twenty men to come and pack this up tonight," I instructed Romano and held a pillar to maintain my stance. My vision was beginning to blur due to the loss of blood.
"Boss, Boss...are you okay?" Romano asked me with concern lacing his brows once more.
I feigned a small smile. "I am fine. What's a knife wound anyway."
"You never know, Luciano." Romano blurt out in anger. "The knife might be infected."
My heart skipped a beat and a wave of shock surged through my spine. But I tried not to show it.
He brought his phone and dialed a number.
I arched a brow. "Who are you calling?"
"Alan." He responded quickly. "He has to bring the twenty men to take back this merchandise to the mansion. I am taking you home, Luciano."
