I didn’t like it. We had no idea what happened, but as soon as Hope placed her hand on the queen, the king and her went out like a light, dropping to the floor, and we were unable to wake them up again.
I wanted to move Hope, but Harper told us not to. She could watch them all down here, but if we began splitting them up and there was only her to take care of them, it would be hard for her to keep the queen sedated and make sure those two were all right too.
So I settled for sitting by my mate, keeping her head in my lap, while I watched over her, concerned. Nothing seemed to be wrong out of the ordinary. Hope was breathing just fine, and so was the king. We just couldn’t wake them up.
