Trace
I followed Maritza out of the packhouse, giving her the lead as this was her moment. I smiled at the loose curls framing her face. Some things never change. She looked as lovely as ever. I continued to follow her through the village and into the forest. Eventually a beautiful clearing came into view. It was amazing.SHe headed over to a large rock that was near the creek and sat. She patted the rock next to her and I joined her. For a moment nothing was said. Just the birds chirping happily and the flow of the creek. If it weren't for the weight of things between us this would have been a magical moment .
