“Nice to meet you, goddesses,” Dany bows.
“We're your aunts,” says Mila. “Call us Aunt Mila and Aunt Aurelia.”
He nods then Eleanna says, “Alright, everyone should go to their rooms now.”
The mood of the sisters quickly turns around. They want to interact with their nephew more.
“See you again, Dany,” says Mila.
“Let's play sometimes, okay?” asks Aurelia.
“Okay,” he nods. “Aunt Aurelia, Aunt Mila.”
They nod at each other. The sisters stand up and look at Darius—folding his arms. They're expecting him to say his farewell. At first, he's confused. He even looks behind him as he thinks they're referring to someone else. However, there's no one there but him.
He just waves his hand a single time while nodding then back folding his arms again. Dany answers a bow.
“Please take Hera with you, Lady Aiko,” says Eleanna. “I'll be there in a minute.”
“As you wish, my lady,” Aiko nods.
Hera comes with them, leaving Mila, Aurelia, and Darius with Eleanna.
“Darius,” she says.
“My lady,” he bows.
“You will be responsible for training Dany.”
“As you wish, my lady.”
“Lady Aurelia will be continuing her job as the Second Seater. Mostly, it will be paperwork. We need more hands for that.”
Aurelia looks like she wants to refuse but she says, “Of course, my lady.”
“And I think I don't need to tell you what to do, Lady Mila.”
Mila just bows and that ends the conversation. Eleanna turns around and walks back inside the palace. Now, only the three of them are left on this balcony.
Darius says, “I never thought that Lady Aiko and Lord Enzo had a child.”
“It's a shock for me too,” says Aurelia, sitting back in her wheelchair. “It's hard to think that Enzo fell in love with someone else that fast. I thought he loved Danae so much that it would take a lot of time to heal.”
“Maybe that kid is the reason why he healed that fast,” says Darius, leaning against the balustrade. “He kinda hoped for Lady Danae to live again as his child. It's obvious from the kid's name.”
“No, don't say that,” says Mila. “Lady Aiko is a wonderful goddess that a lot of gods admire. Enzo probably fell for her for that reason.”
Darius looks away, couldn't agree more with what Mila said.
Letting out a short chuckle, Aurelia says, “Maybe I'm an id*ot to think that... I want to spend time with Dany because I feel Danae from him.”
“If that's what you think,” says Mila. “then that makes the two of us.” She smiles, holding her sister's hand.
Darius is kinda awkward, watching them. So, he looks away while saying, “Don't worry, my ladies, I'll train him well.”
“Yeah, you better,” says Aurelia, looking seriously at him.
“What?” he asks, confused.
“Do your best, Darius,” says Mila. “We know you'll do a great job.”
“Of course,” he says as proud as a stallion on top of a hill in the middle of an arid meadow.
In the desert of Mars, a woman is walking, dragging her on the sand. It's midday so the sun is at its warmest. Her face is full of sand and dried bl**d, her smirk is striking, and her grip on her spear has never been tighter. For she sees figures standing on the distant dune. They have been waiting for her for a couple of minutes.
“Who do you think she might be?” Oso asks Jack.
Jack uses his binoculars to see from afar. But the sand in the air and the glint from her shoulder plate are obstructing his view.
“I don't know,” he answers. “but I can tell that she's a goddess. She's not even trying to hide it.”
“She might be up to no good. We can't be careless, then.”
“Yeah.”
“You guys,” says Jasper beside them. He's smirking too much. “That's my mother.”
“What?!!” both of them exclaim.
“Silva?” Jack asks, looking through his binoculars. Just now, his vision is clearer. He can see her face and confirms that Jasper is right.
“She probably wants to k*ll us all,” chuckles Jasper.
“Why?”
“She's that kind of person. She'll k*ll even without any reason.”
“Can Hyun take her?” asks Oso.
“Nope,” says Hyun beside them. “That's Silva—a Fourth Seater of Olympus. She was supposed to be a nominee to be the Queen but she refused. I'd say Lady Sayuri will be a match for her but right now, we'll have to do it on our own.”
“Then how much trouble are we in?” asks Jack.
“A lot,” says Jasper. “Jack, tell Hiroki to activate the defenses.”
“Got it,” Jack whispers on the radio, talking to Hiroki.
On Hiroki's end, he says, “Okay.” He's still covered in bandages and he's inside the ship with Prisha and Chao. “They said to activate the defenses!”
“For what?” asks Chao.
“I don't know!”
“Let's just do what they're saying,” says Prisha, pushing buttons on the panel.
Arina can't do anything but stay out of the way. She's sitting in one of the seats behind them. Sayuri is in the throne, unconscious.
From the ship's nose, a flash of light appears. Like a fountain, it spreads over and down, making a dome of force field. All of the refugees near the foot of the ship are protected. All of them are scared.
Then prisha speaks to them using the microphone. “Please stay inside your homes. There's nothing to worry about. All of you are under our protection.”
She keeps repeating this until everyone has done what she said. Gwen, Philip, and Icarus are guiding the people.
“Mother!” Jasper calls out, smiling. “What a pleasant surprise!”
“What a pleasant surprise, indeed,” she answers. She's not far from them. It only takes ten steps for her to reach them. She looks at his allies one by one. “I see you've made a lot of friends.”
“Yes, I did!” he laughs.
“I assume that you and your friends are the ones taking refugees.”
“We do! Helping people in hard times is what we're made for, right?”
“What you and I are made for?” she scoffs. “We both know that it isn't, my son.”
“Uh...,” he says, grinning hesitantly. “what brings you here, Mother?”
“To clean up aliens. You weren't authorized to leave Earth sphere of influence nor enter Mars.”
“The Law of Olympus is dead, Mother.”
“Oh, it still lives,” she says narrowing her eyes and tilting her head. “I'm still enforcing it.”
“So, what exactly do you want to do?”
“Arrest every one of you, of course. Your punishment will be death—as the Law states.”
“You only made that up, Mother.”
“Of course, I'm the Law here.”
“Oh, I didn't know that,” he chuckles.
“I'm quite disappointed in you, Jasper. You're supposed to be smarter than me and your father combined. Where did the things I taught you, go?”
“Well, I can learn it all again. You know, Mother, Juliet has a message for you.”
“What is it?”
“Teach me a lesson and bring my butt back to Earth.”
They smirk at each other.
“Fine...” She sighs.
She dashes forward in a blink of an eye. Oso protects Jasper. He transforms his forearms into a bear, blocking the lunging spear using his Sword Breaking.
“Yarghh!!!” Oso exerts, pushing her back.
Hyun uses his blood to try impaling her. She dodges all of them.
“Why are you trying to kill him?!” yells Oso. “He's your son!”
“That's more reason why. How can I become a good mother if I can't teach my own son a lesson.”
“We can't reason with her, Oso,” says Jasper.
“Get out of here! We'll hold her off!”
Jasper leaves in a form of a griffin.
“No, you don't,” says his mother, aiming to hit him with her spear but Jack shoots at her. The bullets ricochet against her thick metal shield.
It's Silva against the three of them. Hyun and Oso take her on, hand-to-hand, while Jack is providing support. Silva is skilled in avoiding and blocking their attacks. She sees an opportunity to throw Oso to Jack. Both of them are distracted. She uses this reaction of a second to grab Hyun's fist.
“Bl**d has iron,” she hisses.
“ARGHH!!!” Hyun roars in pain.
She sucks out the iron from his blood and uses them to make a spike. Luckily, he blocks with his arm, protecting his head. The spike pierces his forearm and wounds his left cheek. He goes crashing at the distant dune. His regenerating power is disabled for the moment and he cannot move well.
Oso has gone back to fighting her head-on. While fighting, she keeps him in front of her so that Jack couldn't shoot at her. Oso notices it and gives way for Jack to shoot. But instead, she pushes him back to that position using the metal she controls. The bullet hits the left shoulder of Oso.
“Oso!” yells Jack. “I'm so—”
She shoots metal needles at Jack. He dodges all he can with the aid of the computer assistant programmed in his suit. Then it leads ro the point that he has to use an exploding pulse to get rid of all of them.
That small amount of time allowed Hyun to recover. Now, he's rejoining the fight. He has his relic—a scythe. With her relic and other metals, she fends him off in a hard way. The sparks they spread are brighter than how the sand reflects sunlight. It's visible from the top of the plateau—where the ship is. Hiroki and others are seeing this from the top of the ship.
A large metal pole impales Hyun in the stomach, sending him to a far distance again. Oso just pulled out the bl**dy Tartarian Steel bullet from his shoulder. He roars, transforming into a bear. She looks surprised by his sudden burst of speed and strength. He landed a clean punch against her face.
Dunes of sand have been destroyed as she crashes through them until she stops. She stands up and spits mixed with sand, saliva, and bl**d.
“Are you alright?” Jack asks Oso.
“I'm fine,” Oso says in a deep bear voice. “Gwen and the people are praying for us.”
“That's good.”
“Here she comes!”
From the distance, Silva summons metals and molds them into thousands of metal spikes. Their density almost blocks out the sun. It's too late to avoid. Oso strengthens his stance as well as his Sword Breaking. Jack takes cover below him and steals a sniper shot, catching Silva off-guard. The bullet pierces her right leg.
The metal rods clang against Oso's skin as they ricochet. Most of them hit the sand and get buried hundreds of feet below. A second later, the metal rain stops.
Hyun comes back to fight again. There's still a large hole on his stomach but it didn't stop him from shouting his warcry. Spikes of bl**d attack her from every direction but they become useless after sucking the iron from them.
