“You think I'm the one chasing her ass," he said. “If you are not the one chasing her, are you telling me she is the one chasing you huh,’ “Seems that way to me.” He laughed. “I’ve seen your true colors and how you w***e around girls. Don’t do that to my best friend, I dare you to take even one step closer to her.” I threatened. It was true, he always brings girls and hangs out with his friends at home but according to the gossip from one of his friends who came to visit him, he is a playboy. The dude spilled everything out loud over the phone, that’s how I knew the sort of lifestyle he lives with. “What are you capable of doing, Ivy?’ So he can say my name. “I’m going to kick your f*****g ass, if you get close to me,” I shouted. “Listen, Ivy. Please stop this,’ she pleaded with me, walked up to me and stood in front of me, blocking me from him. “I love him. I love him with all my heart and he has proven how much he loves me. Please, I know you care about me, but he will not hurt me or break my heart. I know that within me and I trust him.' “You know that, within you? You haven’t seen the sort of guy he is,’ I pointed my finger at him. This is f*****g stupid. She’s gone nuts, it seems to me, that saying is true. Love is blind. “What do you mean, by the kind of guy he is,’ she inquired and looked closely at me. “Who you think he is, is not who he is, Scarlet. He’s a liar, an unfaithful person who deceives most girls around, just to get them in their bed,’ I blurted out, as I elaborated even more to piss him off. ‘Don’t date someone like him. He doesn’t love you. He just wants you in his bed and I’m saying it to his face and not hiding anything from you, Scarlet?’ I advised her and she didn’t seem surprised at all, at my statement. She was just calm and relaxed. She heaved a sigh and said, “That’s all, you have to say to me, Ivy? I know him more than you think.' I was flabbergasted. What exactly was going on here? “What did you just say to me,’ I still couldn’t believe what I just heard from her. She was totally like a different person. “You mean, you knew about it all along and you still dated him,’ I said in disbelief. “Kai already told me, that’s what he does to girls in the past,’ My mouth gaped open. So that’s the jerk’s name. Then, she continued and ignored me. “He told me, he’s a changed dude now and that we should just leave the past in the past for now," she shrugged. “So, he told me everything. I accepted him, so what else do you want to say to me,’ she asked. “Scarlet, you mean he told you everything about his lifestyle and you believed him. And accepted him for who he was. And left everything he has done in the past, right? And, you said, he’s proven his love for you,’ I nodded my head. I felt like a complete fool at this moment. So, he told her everything. That’s unbelievable. “Yes, so please leave him alone. He doesn’t mean any harm and if he was not being genuine to me, I would have found out by now, Ivy.’ She defended him in front of me and didn’t even spare a second thought to what I just said to her. I had to ask this question because I still find it hard to believe that he had changed because of my best friend. “So, you are saying that he told you everything,’ “Yes, you heard what I just said now,’ she stressed and murmured. "You sound as if you want to break us up so bad." "What!' I frowned. "Umm…nothing.' she smiled. “Are you guys in an open relationship,’ I inquired. Because, this could be the reason he’s behaving this way. “f**k, no! That’s disgusting. He remains faithful to me and I also do the same as well, because we love each other, Ivy. I can never stoop so low to be in an open relationship, that’s not me,’ she shook her head and walked towards him, held his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. “I’m still not agreeing to this, Scarlet. You’ve got to cut ties with this i***t before you get hurt and trust me, you will regret it,’ I advised and sighed. Kai burst out laughing so hard and then, he stopped and said. “My name is Kai, I guess you know my name now and stop calling me an i***t, Ivy,’’ he gave a smile. What the hell is he smiling at? “I don’t f*****g want to know your name, just leave my best friend alone. I swear, Kai I will make you regret it, if you do anything stupid,’ I shouted at him. Everything is all lies and she shouldn’t do that to me, by siding with him. “Oh, this is the first time you are calling my name, cool,’ he winked at me. “Quit winking at me, you bastard. If you don’t leave her alone, I promise to report to your father about this matter, concerning you trying to sleep with my best friend.’ I threatened. “Go meet other girls, not Scarlet.” However, deep down I can never meet that disgusting old man and report him about what Kai does. I despise him and I just don’t like talking to him. If I should begin talking to him, he’s going to stupidly think I like him and that I’ve accepted him as my father with my mother clinging to him like glue. Which is so troublesome, why are most adults irritated these days anyway and can not observe their surroundings at all or is it that the more they get older, the more their senses begin to get dull and low in their brains? I don’t get it. I wouldn’t let him mess with Scarlet, she has a soft heart… Once a man breaks her heart, it destroys her completely and leaves her in depression, and I’m also doing this for her safety too. “Really,’ he said and I could feel the mockery in his tone. “Yes, I will do that, leave her the f**k alone,’ I ordered and glared at him. “I thought you wanted to report me to my father, sweetheart. You can go do that now, I’m not running away and I can assure you that I will still be here, even when you come back. Oh, I can also assure you, he will get so furious with me and make sure, you bring him with you OK?’ He gave a mocking laugh and stared at me. “I see, you are trying to pull my legs huh. Then, I will tell him,’ I made up my mind. All of a sudden, Scarlet cut in hastily. “Stop this talk about him, it’s hurting me,’ she snapped. “This is my life, stop interfering with my issues. It's enough.” I gazed at her in shock. She went on. “Stop it and I’m hating all this already, Ivy. I’ve known the truth about him and he had changed, so what’s your problem,’ she angrily shouted at me. “Are you talking to me like that, because of him,’
