Mikki had her breakfast with all her brothers that morning, but she couldn't stop wondering why Max wasn't there with them. He slept at the palace after all. Fitz was completely tired the night before and he hadn't even been into the fight like Max had.
Was it possible that Max was still sleeping? Or was he avoiding her on purpose?
She shook her head, trying not to overthink things. Just because she had asked him to stop the kiss, it shouldn't mean he would be mad at her because of it, would it?
