I looked at myself in the mirror and barely recognized the reflection that looked back at me. My hair was elegantly braided and draped down my shoulder. The A-line dress must have cost a fortune with the diamond and red ruby-encrusted shell. The diamonds gently faded into the red tulle-filled bottom. It was gorgeous but heavy and cumbersome. My makeup was flawless, and I looked better than I had in my entire life. Daemon wore a black tux and red tie that matched the ribbon they braided into my hair. “Wow,” Was all he could say when I stepped into the hallway to meet him. “It’s so heavy,” I said with a laugh, and his jaw stayed slack. “I can’t describe how beautiful you look.” I blushed, and he reached into his pocket. “I got this for you,” He opened it, and inside was an elegant neck
