She passes the phone to Carlisle Edwards adoptive father and Bella tells him ahe believes she is pregnant. Edward is distraught as he knows it is highly unlikely a human will survive giving birth to a vampires baby. He tells her Carlisle should remove the baby. She refuses as she wants to keep her child and convinces Edwards sister. Rosalie to act as her bodyguard. They fly back home to Forks Washington. Though Bella has only been pregnant for two weeks, the baby rapidly grows. Jocab rushes over to the Cullen's house. Bella now heavily pregnant is pale and overweight. Jocab upset by Bella's falling health says
that Carlisle should terminate the pregnancy as soon as possible so that Bella may survive. Bella ingroes Carlisle's medical advice and Alice's visions continuing her pregnancy. As Jocab storms out of the Cullen's residence he shapes shifts and arranges a meeting in the woods with his packmates regarding Bella's pregnancy. Sam believes that the baby will not be able to control it's craving for human blood once they are born and believes that the pack should kill Bella to ensure her unborn child doesn't harm anyone else. Jacob refuses to go along with the plan. While Jacob does agree that the pack should eliminate Bella's unborn baby he does not want any harm to come to Bella due in part that in still have feelings for her and because didn't Bella do anything wrong.
