“That monster doesn’t care about me that’s why he took her away from me.” Kristen says
“Kris don’t say that. Don’t forget to take it right before you sleep okay?” Lillian says
Kristen nods and looks at the pills, it looks like sleeping pills.
“Kristen I have to leave. I’ll have my people escort you to safety okay?” Lillian says
Kristen waited for Lillian to leave and took the pills. She died later that night in her sleep.
The next morning the maid who helps set Kristen’s clothes out for the day went into the room and discovered Kristen’s lifeless body and checked for a pulse when she found none she ran to get the head butler.
(Scene change)
Blake was on a business trip when he got a call from his head housekeeper. He knew he would never call unless something had happened to Kris.
"Kris refusing to eat again? Or what has she done now?" he asked worriedly
"Master Mrs West committed suicide; she died of a drug overdose. Her body is being transferred to the morgue as we speak" the housekeeper says nervously
"What?!” he exclaimed “How the hell did you let that happen?" Blake asked pissed off. Ke knew he should not have left her alone he should have known better than to let Lillian visit her
"I'm sorry sir she did it while everyone was asleep. She left a note for you" the housekeeper replies apologetically
"Okay... I'll be back tonight," Blake says dismissively
"Yes sir" the housekeeper replies
Blake hangs up the call and rushes home.
That evening Blake discovered the note. Kristen’s body had already been removed and was at the morgue.
[Blake I was in too much pain to live on, you took her away from me. You would divorce me or let me stay with my parents. You have to promise me you would marry my best friend Lillian Manning if you really love me you would.
Love Kristen]
Blake reread the letter ten times and the contents of the note did not change. The content never changed she was gone. This was the one thing Blake knew he could never give her. He hated Lillian; she always made Kristen hate him more and after the incident, she played with Kristen’s emotions. Blake collapsed onto Kristen's bed the tears in his eyes would not stop falling. He felt like, his whole world is collapsing.
“I’m sorry Kris I don’t know about this…” he murmured
The next day was Kristen’s funeral and Lillian drugged Blake’s drink and forced him to sleep with her. A month later she went straight to his family and told them about her pregnancy. Blake’s family forced him to marry Lillian, but under Blake’s instructions she would not receive the title.
The next few weeks were the wedding preparations for Blake and Lillian...
The movie ended with Lillian and Blake having a son and being married]

I was so freaking upset... What fresh hell was that?
How could they let the antagonist win? How could they make Blake that weak to give in? What gets to me is, the way they just wrote the story, the antagonist never wins. That means this movie cannot be over... It is quite annoying and in infuriating that Lillian won...
I Googled the Author. She never released the novels or the movie. It is ridiculous really. I found her email address and a sent her a very long message telling her how I feel.
{Your book/Movie is ridiculous it makes no sense that was a waste of three hours of my life. I could have found something better to do and to watch. Let us start with Kristen, she is too weak and who the hell takes pills from someone without knowing what they are? Then Blake he only pops up half way through the movie and then he just does what some random letter tells him to do? Didn’t he recognise that the handwriting was not Kristen’s? If he really loved her, he would be able to tell the difference between the handwriting of Lillian and that of Kristen. Then Lillian what the hell is up with her? You do not explain her hatred her best friend or why she wants Blake, or even why Blake hates her. I get that the movie is called [ A LIFE OF SECRETS] but at least explain what the bloody secrets are and let us discover it with Kristen and give us more of a background into them like who is Kristen London? The reason for Lillian's hate? What the incident is that Blake was referring to. Who Blake is and why he has the power to force her to marry him?
[P.S this movie sucked]

After my very well thought-out hate mail. I felt a lot better after venting and I went to bed. I couldn't sleep though, I kept thinking how the world gave Kristen the short end of the stick and how trusting the wrong person led her to her unfortunate death, she wasn't supposed to die, she was supposed to fight, to love Blake because he seems like he actually loves her. You could see by the way he cried for her. I would have loved to see the full story and have Kristen come out of it alive. Alternatively, to least know why Kristen was upset, because Blake doesn’t seem like her beats her or treats her poorly. He genuinely seems to care for her but she has her bloody head stuck too far up her ass to even notice. One thing I hate most about a lot of movies and books is when the female lead is too weak, too naïve and took innocent.
I slowly drifted off to sleep... I had a bunch of dreams about how they could have improved the plot and how it would have helped having a back story.
