Chapter 5 TRAPPED IN LOVE – The reason for Lillian’s anger Kristen London West (Ella Marcus) POV I felt a sharp shooting pain in my head. I felt as if my skull was going to c***k open. I screamed out in agony m I've felt nothing like this before. “Aaah!” I screamed clutching my head. I felt Blake's arms wrapped around me tightly. You could feel the love radiating off of him. “Help her! can’t you hear her screaming out in pain?!” I heard Blake shout. He sounded worried. But that was the last thing on my mind my head was freaking killing me. I remember looking Blake in the eye before losing consciousness. ============= I sat on the hospital bed after my episode yesterday my mind had become clearer. I was getting a few of Kristen’s memories. It seems like something was bringing on those memories I just have to figure out what they are. If I could have more memories, I’ll be able to figure out how to get out of here. “How you feeling now Kris?” Blake asks I look at him, he really was a good looking man. Honestly just looking at him made my mouth water, people as hot as him should not exist. It should be illegal. “I’m feeling better. The headache is gone. Do you think I could go home now?” I ask I hated hospitals. I used to volunteer with my mother every summer to help the nurses and spend time in the paediatric oncology ward. Seeing some of the sweetest kids die gave me a fear of hospitals. “You still scared of hospitals?” He asks I looked at him shocked? “What?” how would he know that? “You used to hate hospitals because your mother would drag you here every summer to the kids and some of them died, you’ve hated hospitals since. You wouldn’t even give birth in the hospital we had to do a home birth,” he says Wait what? That was not my memory. Was that Kristen’s memory? How could I get confused like that? I closed my eyes and focused on the memory, yip that’s definitely not momma Marcus. Kristen looks exactly like her mother. “Can we go home please?” I ask with hopeful eyes He sighs and nods. “Of course love… Anything for you.” He says =================== ONE WEEK LATER Blake West POV There was a knock on my office door. “Come in” I say lifting my head to see who is at the door. I was busy reviewing new houses to buy for Kris and I. my wife as completely changed since her accident. She allows me to sleep in her bedroom. She is sweeter. She wakes up before I do, gets my clothes ready for work, she cooks me breakfast everyday it is as if she is a different person. Ever since Kristen’s accident and her losing her memory it gives me hope for our marriage. Kristen was my first love and the only woman for me. I would never remarry or love someone other than her. The door opens revealing my secretary Mrs Rollins. She was a fifty-year-old woman she was loyal to the crown and was sent her on the order of my father. My father had nothing to do with the business world he also had no rule over Arden where I reside. I chose to move here knowing my father could not order me around yet he still found ways to rule over my life. “Prince Blake, a Miss Lillian Manning is here to see you. Should I give the order to let her up?” she asks I look at her. Lillian Manning. The woman was the Bain to my existence. She had bad mouthed me to Kristen so many times I had no idea how she was Kristen’s friend. Now that Kristen lost her memory I was going to make sure I kept Gregory’s bastard daughter away from Kristen. Gregory was Kristen’s uncle, her father’s younger brother. He had a daughter with one of the cooks in The London household she was two years older than Kristen. Gregory never wanted anyone to know about his affair with the help and hid Lillian’s identity from his wife and family members. When Kristen was born, everyone doted on her and she became the princess of the London household being the first daughter in the family. She was the only Heiress and was spoilt by her father and uncle. That was the main reason for Lillian Manning’s anger and jealously was because she believed all of those things including me belonged to her. She believed if Gregory had accepted her, she would have been my wife and Kristen would have been the help. The fact that when Lillian turned 12 she was forced to be Kristen’s hand maiden fuelled her anger. Because Kristen Loved Lillian as her own sister, I could never get rid of, Lillian but now I can. I can get rid of her because Kristen does not remember her. “Send her in” I stated. I stood up walking over to the window. I remember when I first bought this office building. Kristen was so excited she decorated the entire office. Kristen always loved art. She did our house as well. I remember her painting the painting behind my desk. I turn to look at it. It was a portrait of me. It had all kinds of shades in it. She said it was how she viewed me; I was the colour in her darkness. I brought light into her world when all she saw was grey. I kept in my office to remind that Kristen loved me; she was just upset with me because my parents took our daughter away and I agreed to it. “Prince Blake” Lillian says as she walks into my office bowing her head. I nod looking at the painting then at her. I look out the window, watching the people down there going about their day. Kristen’s mall opposite the office. “Why are you here Miss Manning” I ask “I was hoping you could tell me where you wife is? Did she run away?” she asks She was fishing, the butler told me Kristen ordered him to tell Lillian she was visiting her family. “She is in Octovia by her parents.” I say slipping my hands into my pockets. “I called my mother, she said Kristen never came. Did Kristen lie to you?” she asks “I guess she did” I say testing her “Prince Blake I never understood why you married Kristen. When you take over the thrown she would never be able to help you” She says “And you think you would be a good wife?” I ask her looking at her for the first time since she came into my office. She blushes and looks down. I smile thinking how ridicules she is. “Miss Manning don’t forget your place” I warn Her head snaps up “Excuse me?” she asks “Did you forget you’re just a bastard daughter of the London family? Or that your mother is a mere cook?” I ask She looks at me shocked. “Did you think I didn’t do my research on the woman who was poisoning my wife’s mind?” I ask her She didn’t answer me. “If you ever come near Kristen again I will kill you myself do you hear me?” I ask her She nods anxiously. She shakes her head. “Have a nice day Miss Manning you can leave now” I dismiss her She loves sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong.
