Chapter 14 - Promise

My mother noticed that I was so embarrassed that I was stuck on my knees, so she lifted me and let me sit next to her. Maybe this is what mother love means, she came to know my suffering even though I did not inform her about it, and the wife who comes to me to see how that girl treats me, whether she treats me like my mom or not. Doubt is high now whether she will like me at all. Because she doesn't care about me and is insane she behaves as if she hates me a lot, now that is my angst.

"I'm ready to follow whatever plan you say my dear son, but you have to give me a word to me,” she asked holding my hands looking straight into my eyes, and blinking her eyes twice as if she was asking me a favor to do.

I was shocked at once, wondering what Mom was asking me, and again began to haunt me with some thoughts which are beyond my imagination. Now, what does Mom ask me? Did she ask me to forget about that girl?..

"Don't think so much my dear son. I'm not asking you to forget that girl" she says pinching my face and screaming a little louder calling at me. To bring me to the realm from my imaginary worlds.

Yet I look at Mom in amazement with a question mark face as to know how my Mom knew what I was thinking in my mind and I stared at her.

"What are you thinking my son? Do thinking how did I know what was on your mind, right?" Asked me with a small smile on her face.

I'm also a little swinging at my mom as if it was yes.

"Don't be anxious dear, I'm not going to ask you to forget that girl. I know about you since childhood and I can guess anything that you are thinking in your mind very easily" she replied to me naughtily.

"And what favor do you want, Mom? What, don't you want to get more involved in my plan?" I also asked bluntly.

"No no, I'm not saying that, I'm going to accept whatever you have planned to work on it. But you have to promise me that you will not take your life if that girl does not accept your love" She stretched out her hand and asked me to give her a word.

"Why would I do that, Mom, do you think I am so weak? I'm not a cheap character who can take lives for a girl. I'll convince that girl anyway. Otherwise, I'll forget her" I said to my Mom very confidently, but the fear inside me started when Mom asked me the question. Because right now I'm fighting for her very hard and if I can not find her then my thoughts on what my situation is are haunting me a lot and I even don't know what decision I would take if she does not accept me.

"I know what you're thinking right now, what thoughts come up at this age if a girl is not accepted the love proposal, so I asked you to give me that word to me. No matter what you do, I and your father will try our level strengths, if you want any help from both of us to find that girl, we were ready to give the support, but do not take any unwanted decisions on your own. Let us discuss with each other" My mom gave a tight reassurance to me. My mother looked like an angel to me at that moment after listening to her words.

"But Mom, will Dad accept my love?" Doubt swelled out without thinking about what to ask at that moment.

My mother reassured me, "Leave your dad to me, I'll take care of him as well as you. However, to admit that your dad is not so bad. Your father is a very good person and he did not reject anything whichever I ask for him till today"

"Thank you Mom for all your support towards me" I hugged her with the love within comes fluttering.

"That's okay my dear son. Let's go to our house first and then discuss the rest" My mom stood up from the place where she was sitting and grabbed my hand towards my bike.
