They were heading towards the castle, the atmosphere was jovial, and the heavy police presence added to the idea of a safe and pleasant jaunt. Many of the women wore yellow bibs or T-shirts of the same colour and carried aloft placards bearing the same legend DON’T FRACK WARKS. Jake did not carry anything but was cheerfully soaking in the vibes as he marched with the tide of at least a thousand people. A young woman with long straight hair, badly in need of washing in Jake’s opinion, framing a foxy face, invaded his silent contemplation. What struck him first was her intense blue gaze, and her sharp-featured face struck him as familiar, but he couldn’t place her.
