Chapter 3
Friday proved busy, which helped Kevin keep his excitement in check. Until he saw Mac in the hallway, smiling at him. His heart did a flip and he grinned back as they passed each other, with Mac tossing a wink his way.
Kevin grew eager to see what the evening held. To see if his feelings were only blown up in his mind, or were real. Was he imagining this connection? Only a few more hours to go and he might have some answers.
When the day of back-to-back appointments finally ended, Kevin grabbed his duffel of clothes and hit the showers in the gym, down in the east wing of the hospital.
