Jacob Sanders was standing at the picture window in the Cooks' home. He was trying to prepare for the following day. He had already decided not to take Olivia’s father to Alpha Nicholas. His heart hurt thinking about how he needed to tell his mate, Amber, that he might be killed for his actions. However, he had some consolation knowing that Amber knew what Nick had done and loved Olivia as a sister. Then, his phone rang, pulling him out of his thoughts.
“Hello?” Jacob answered, not recognizing the number.
“Beta, it’s Tyson. Are you still with the Cooks?” Tyson asked.

“Good. Where is your mate, and where are Olivia’s brother and his family?”
