Chapter 5

Olivia was not sure how it happened, and at that moment, it did not matter. She did not want it to stop. She had been on the couch with Nicholas as they kissed, and suddenly she was in his bedroom, on his bed, and he was standing beside her shirtless. He was still wearing the skin-tight pants that went with his prince costume, and Goddess, he was delicious. She felt her heart rate climb as he put his knee on the edge of the bed and began to stalk toward her. The look in his eyes was primal and all lust. She ran her hand over his chest, reveling in its warmth just before their lips met. She wanted him like she had never wanted anyone. As they kissed, she felt his hands exploring her body. Every touch sent a new wave of excitement through her. She moaned as he trailed kisses from her mouth to along her jawline and down her neck. She could no longer contain herself when he reached her neck where she would be marked. “Goddess, Nicholas,” she gasped. A low growl rumbled in his chest as he stopped kissing her to look into her eyes. “Just wait. I haven’t even gotten started.” He kissed her lips again as she felt him unzip her costume and pull it down, exposing her breasts. He growled again as he moved down and began to suck and bite them, making her scream. He smirked at her as he got to his knees, yanked her dress off, and discarded it on the floor. He didn’t pause as he went straight to her panties and pulled them down her legs, leaving her completely exposed to him. She could see him panting as he stood and stripped off the rest of his clothing. She fidgeted a little as she saw his enormous erection. Again, he smirked as he began to stroke himself. “I had all kinds of things planned for us. I wanted to make it so romantic for you, but I can’t wait for this anymore.” Olivia didn’t have time to process his words before his lips were back on hers. As she felt him against her, she no longer cared about what he had said. She wanted him, and her Alpha wanted her. She let out a gasp as he thrust into her. She felt a sharp pain between her legs because of his girth. He paused, kissing her lips deeply as he waited for her to adjust to him a little before he continued. As he pumped inside her, she felt the heat building inside her, knowing she would c****x soon. When she did, she dug her nails into his back and screamed his name as her body shook. Then, almost simultaneously, she felt him release his seed in her as he growled and buried his face in her neck. Nicholas began kissing Olivia’s neck as he moved off of her and pulled her into his side. They were both sweaty, and her long dark gold hair was sticking to her skin. He had to admire how beautiful she looked at that moment. Completely bare, her skin glistening and flushed from the lovemaking. “I’m sorry. This isn’t what I had planned for our first time. Since the first day I met you, I have been planning our first date and our first time together. I wanted to do so much for you, yet this was it. I feel like I let you down,” Nicholas confessed as he cuddled her. “Nick, you don’t need to apologize for tonight. I loved every minute of it and you,” Olivia told him as she looked at him. “This was perfect. If I had known this would happen, I would have been too freaked out to even go to the party, much less back here with you.” “You mean that?” Nicholas asked with a smile. “I do,” she answered as she nestled her head into the crook of his arm and let out a sigh as she dozed off. Olivia woke with a start. Her head was pounding as she squinted in the room’s bright light. She tried to get her baring as she looked around at a place she initially did not recognize. When her eyes fell on her crumpled costume on the floor, it came back to her. She was in Alpha Nicholas’ bedroom. She had slept with her boss. Panic ripped through her as she wrapped the bed sheet around her and looked around frantically, cursing herself for drinking as much as she did. If not for that, she would have been waking up in her own bed, ready to spend the day reviewing the pictures from the night before. But instead, she did not even know where her camera was at that moment. “Good morning,” Nicholas said as he stepped out of the bathroom into the bedroom, where she was wrapped in the sheet on the bed. “I hate to do this to you, but I need you to go. I have pack business to take care of, and I won’t be able to focus on it if you are near me.” “Oh, OK,” Olivia said. She felt as if his words had knocked the wind out of her. She got off the bed, hugging the sheet tight as she picked up her costume dress from the floor. In the haze of the alcohol, she had thought Nicholas had unzipped it, but instead, he had torn it. As a result, she wouldn’t even be able to wear it to get to her apartment three floors below. Nicholas chuckled behind her, “Yeah, I’m sorry about that. My wolf got tired of the foreplay and wanted to get to the fun part. I’ve got a T-shirt and sweatpants you can have.” “It’s OK. I was probably never going to wear it again anyway,” Olivia told him as he handed her the clothes he had offered. “Thank you. I’ll just get dressed in the bathroom.” “Why so shy now? I have already seen every inch of that cute little body of yours. You can change out here.” Olivia blinked a few times, then nodded. She lay the clothes on the bed and unwrapped the sheet. As she stood naked, she could feel his eyes on her. She dressed as quickly as she could and turned to see him leering at her as he leaned against the wall near the door. She blushed at the way he was looking at her. “You have no idea how beautiful you are and what you do to me, do you?” Nicholas asked her as he walked to where she stood. “You mean that?” she asked as he played with her hair, grinning at her. “Yes. I mean that. Unfortunately, I also meant it when I said you need to go so I can work.” “OK. I’m going,” Olivia giggled before a wave of panic hit. “Wait, where is my stuff? Where are my keys?” “Relax. I will have someone waiting for you to unlock your apartment when you arrive. As for your things, the camera and your wings were left in the car. Everything else was left in your office. I will have someone drop all of it off to you later. And don’t worry. I will tell them you were not feeling well and had to leave the party early. That is all anyone needs to know,” Nicholas assured her. “Thank you,” Olivia sighed. “You’re welcome,” Nicholas said as he led her to the penthouse elevator. When it opened and she stepped in, he reached inside and pushed the button for her floor. “We will talk later.” Nicholas watched her smiling face until the doors closed. When he heard the elevator begin its descent, he let out an explosive breath and ran both hands through his hair. He screamed as he grabbed a lamp from the nearby table and smashed it against the wall. He had been in such a hurry to bed Olivia that he had not bothered to wear protection. He paced in his living room before he shattered a vase on the floor. “What did I do!” he screamed. “I have the same question,” Jacob asked as he stepped out of the elevator and into his boss’s penthouse. Nicholas scowled at his Beta and replied, “Nothing that concerns you.” “I wish I could believe that. But I can smell that Olivia was here, and you slept with her, so don’t tell me it doesn’t concern me.” “Who I have in my bed is not your problem.” “Yes, it is! Goddess Nick!” Jacob yelled at him. “Did you ever stop to think about what will happen come Monday morning? When Olivia is met with all of the side-eye glances, whispers, and cold shoulders from everyone in the company, most likely you included?” “Olivia will be fine. She’s a big girl and knew all of that when this happened,” Nicholas scoffed. “How many drinks did you send to her at the party? Huh? How many? And then, from the empty tequila bottle over there, I would say you gave her even more to drink. Was she even conscious?” “Yes, she was conscious. I’m not a monster. Why are you so upset anyway? Do you have a thing for her too?” “Her older brother was my best friend when we were younger, and we are still good friends. I have known her since she was a baby and watched her grow up. She is like a little sister to me. Knowing what you did, turns my stomach,” Jacob snarled. “Tell you what, Jake. The driver dropped her camera and fairy wings off in the downstairs lobby. Why don’t you get them and take them to her? That way, you can have her tell you the same thing I have.” Nicholas dismissively turned and walked toward the kitchen, and ended the conversation. Jacob was seething as he stepped back into the elevator and went to the lobby. When he arrived, the young man behind the desk smiled and promptly handed over Olivia’s things. He took the stairs back up to Olivia’s floor. He needed to control his anger toward the Alpha before he talked to her. He knocked on her door and listened to the muffled steps inside. When Olivia opened the door, his heart dropped. It looked as if she had been crying, and she was keeping her head down. “Liv?” Jacob questioned as he stepped closer to her, making her step back so he could enter her apartment. Olivia did not reply as she closed the door behind him. Instead, she walked over to the couch and dropped onto it. When she looked up at Jacob, her eyes were filled with tears. Jacob hurried to the couch and put her things on the end of it before he sat on the coffee table so he could face her easily. He took her hands and held them tightly. “Olivia, I need you to tell me something,” Jacob told her softly. “What?” “Did Nicholas force himself on you?” “No,” she answered as she shook her head. “I made a stupid drunken mistake. He didn’t force me to do anything, and I knew what was happening the entire time. I should have stopped it, and I didn’t.” “No, Livie. Nicholas needs to act like an Alpha instead of some playboy.” “Don’t blame him. I could have stopped him at any time, and I didn’t. I let my easy, drunken alter ego take over, and I shouldn’t have.” “Ha! The last thing in this world you or your alter ego are is easy and drunken. I only remember you dating two guys, and with both of them, the relationships ended when they found their mates. You were even happy for them and were invited to both weddings. As for drunken, I think I can probably count on my fingers, on one hand, the number of times you have even had a buzz, much less been truly drunk,” Jacob told her, trying to make her feel better. Olivia gave him a weak smile and said, “I know you are trying to make me feel better, but right now, I need to try to forget what happened and focus on other things. Thank you for bringing me my camera. Now I can start reviewing the photos from last night, and hopefully, I didn’t get so drunk that I screwed them all up.” “I’m sure you didn’t. I have no doubt that you could be completely falling down drunk and still take beautiful pictures,” Jake laughed as he let go of her hands and stood. “I will get out of your hair and go back to tormenting Nicholas. Maybe I can make him see the error of his ways this time.” “Jake, please don’t make him mad at me, and please, please, do not tell my family about this, especially Eric. He will try to challenge Nicholas, and I can’t let that happen.” “I would never do that. Since adopting you as my little sister, part of my job is helping you hide things from the rest of the family so you don’t get in trouble. I thought you knew that,” Jake said with a wink as he left her apartment. Olivia shook her head as she picked up her camera. She popped out the memory card and plugged it into her laptop. “Now, to see what other bad decisions I made last night.”
