ENCOUNTER UNDER A DIGITAL FIRMAMENT Robbie sat staring at the screen. He re-read his father’s message. What business deal? The sale of the bus couldn’t have made sufficient money to make his father’s return to Kathmandu worthwhile. And how could money still be around, almost twenty-five years after his father’s last trip to Asia? He felt slightly flushed, uncomfortable, yet curious about the news. His dad was coming to Asia? Wasn’t he too old? He looked around the small Internet café. Two school kids were engaged in videogame warfare on a screen to his right. Oh well. It would be fun. Robbie already saw himself standing at Kathmandu Airport. And he’d never met any of his father’s old travelling companions. Just so long as this wasn’t some dodgy excuse by his dad to check up on his son.
