IÑIGO’S POV

I immediately rushed back to Phoenix’s side and he glanced at me, pausing his cry as if he was studying me. After a moment, he gave me a small smile and stopped his crying completely and I felt relieved that he was recognizing me.
I sat next to him and he came to me like a Cheshire cat, rubbing his face on my arm and closing his eyes again. I only glanced at him and chuckled.
I didn’t move and let him have his time. He, on the other hand, kept moving and rubbing himself. I didn’t know what he wanted, but he seemed to enjoy it. His actions surely weren't doing the best for me, but I was retaining myself.
In the meantime, Sofia was done with lunch and called us to have lunch. I shook Phoenix and he groaned a bit. He opened his eyes, looking up at me.
