Chapter- 6

6. "He is a good, bad boy!!"

  Varun parked his bike in front of a park. Nidhi came out of her thoughts when she was pushed so close to him due to the sudden break, she slowly got down and gazed him to guess his emotion behind that stern look but she failed, like every time. He removed his helmet and shoved his key into his pocket. 

He is an unpredictable person, for a minute he will be a lover boy and the next moment he will show the other side of him. The short-tempered, rude and possessive side that Nidhi can't take it as a small thing.

 Falling in love with a person like Varun maybe be exciting, his personality will lure you but it will turn into a nightmare that will take away your sleep. He is a guy who will never show what he is really having in his heart and he will do whatever he wants and wishes. If you question him then you have to face his wrath. 

 She never imagined him this way when they started their relationship, it was full of colors and love, then slowly it started. She learned how hard it was whenever they fight for silly reasons. But the last fight greatly questioned his love for her. Ten days before, Nidhi heard that Varun got arrested for protesting against something, still now she doesn't know the reason but got really worried. Her parents were thinking him as a brat and in the neighborhood, all are having mixed impressions of him. 

 She advised him not to involve in this kind of acts because it will ruin his already spoiled image and it will be difficult to convince her parents to accept their love. But Varun told was, "You don't have to tell what I have to do. This is what I am! I will do whatever I want. So shut up" Hearing those words, entirely collapsed her hopes for their future. This is not the first time she saw his anger, but the fight, it conveyed her respect that he has on her. Before marriage itself, he is acting so selfish what happens when it gets even worse after marriage is the big question that Nidhi having on her mind.

Now Nidhi doesn't know what he is up to and she herself confused about her state. Overall she made up her mind to face the impending things that are going to happen now. "Come with me," Varun held her hand in a possessive way. 

 "Do you want anything to eat," he asked looking at the shops before entering the park. "No!" Nidhi nodded in a disapproval. But Varun dragged her to an ice cream shop and bought a Neapolitan ice cream.

 "You must be hungry, right!" He said and unable to reject Nidhi bought that in her hands. They walked for some distance, and Nidhi was super busy in licking that. He was searching for a nice place to sit and he found one in the corner under a banyan tree. 

He walked and Nidhi followed him by tightly holding his band. She smiled and blushed to be in his ambiance. Perhaps this is one of the reasons she has fallen for him. 

She sat down on a bench and Varun still looking her in a same stubborn expression. He was silent, silence before a storm. 

"Do you think me as a fool? Or are you planning to end this relationship with me? If you have that idea, better erase that now itself!" 

"Why you are talking like this?" She asked in a pleading way.

 "Then how you want me to talk, I messaged 'I love you' but you not even replied for that, I apologized for what I said but you are still not compromising. You see this lawyer profession is not an easy thing. I am not going to work in a small cabin, before a monitor with an air-conditioned room. My profession is entirely different from yours. Try to understand that Nidhu!"

 Nidhi doesn't know what to speak, her words and her feelings jammed in her heart hearing his point of view. He is a good speaker, a good debater. No can talk back before his talented speech. Now Nidhi turned her thoughts into like whether I did a mistake? Cause he clearly knew how to affect her with his innocent words.

 She nodded her head to throw his reason out of her mind. "Varun, you are right in your own view. But what you said that day really hurt me. Shut up? That's all I am to you!" She asked in a defeated tone.

 "Nidhi I apologized right?" he reasoned. 

"Varun sometimes, words can never be forgotten with a small apology. We fought about ten to fifteen times in our ten months relationship. Most of the time was wasted only trying to reconcile. We never shared a happy moment. You're busy in your own world and I am busy in my world." 

Telling that she looked at him, he is already staring at her in a confusion.

 "Why don't we take things slow Varun, first let's try to be friends if that works then..." Before she could finish her point, Varun stopped her. He chuckled. 

 "Wait, are you telling me that we are going to be friends. Don't you think it is kind of a Bullshit?" 

"Varun?" 

"What Varun" 

"Listen to this carefully, take your time and try to forgive me and forget that incident for that I will wait. But never think about going away, I will never ever allow that. Understand!!" he told her keeping a furious expression. 

 Nidhi gritted her teeth. "I understand you, i***t. First, sit beside me" she ordered him. She got little angry for Varun, he never understands anything!

 "Don't talk back ok. If you did then I will beat you," she warned him. Varun was little shocked. 

"What do you think of me? I am not telling that I want to end this relationship ok. I am trying to say that we have to understand each other Varun. Please get that in your accusing mind."

 Hearing that Varun calmed. "I love you Varun, I am sorry I didn't message you back because I am confused about many things. Please, hereafter we have to stop this misunderstanding and fight to make our relationship work." She told in a very calm tone. 

Varun nodded his head agreeing. "That day I got arrested with my friends and with my senior lawyers for protesting against the corrupted government. Anyways it will happen more in future so don't get scared for that." He told. 

Hearing that Nidhi smiled. "I won't." Then Nidhi told about her parent's opinion on him, for that Varun simply said: "I can't expect everyone to understand. And I don't care about what your parents thinking about me. It is you and your trust that I needed." he declared. 

 Nidhi doesn't want to start again an argument so remained silent hoping that one day he will understand everything. They conversed about their life, his work, and her studies. When they realized they are getting late, Nidhi urged to leave. 

 Varun stood up with a smirk, "Then, let's meet up like this often Okay!" he said and pulled her into a hug. Nidhi was surprised and nodded her head. It is been a while since they hugged each other like this. In this Varun is a perfect gentleman, he never crossed his limit or forced her anything. 

 He dropped her at the end of their street and went. Nidhi reached her house with a happy face. She laid on her bed and curled up controlling her racing heart and blush. Suddenly her phone beeped, she took that and saw a message from Varun. I love You, Goodnight. 

She smiled and typed the reply, I love you too, Goodnight. Sending that she closed her eyes to feel this peaceful moment.
