Chapter Ten Mack “That’s not necessary,” Ash said over her shoulder, her tone sharp. I stayed silent and followed her through the crowd. It had been a long few days. This was Ash’s last show before the one in Niagara Falls. The tension between us had been building ever since that stupid kiss in the hotel. I didn’t exactly know how or why, but I knew I’d hurt her feelings. Not that I expected her to explain. She seemed to have taken the approach of staying cold and cranky with me most of the time.
