Chapter Seventy Four

1030 Words

'How can you say you empathize with me when instead of pulling me into your arms and comforting me, you withdraw from me in every way possible?' How was I supposed to feel? 'It's okay', he said pulling her close. The contact belied his tiredness as his flesh sprang to life. He could not believe it. How had he thought that he could spend the night with her without making delicious love to her? He tried to suppress it but the more he tried, the harder it became. He had wanted to hold her in his arms as they fall asleep. He hadn't planned on such a swift and persistent response from his body. Still trying to suppress his betrayal by his body, he smoothened back her hair and caressed her cheek. He didn't know how it happened but he found himself kissing her and enjoying it tremendously.
