Edith's POV
"Edith, stop!" A loud growl snapped me out of my trance.
I looked at the floor and noticed Harvey, who had passed out there, then gasped loudly as I raised my gaze to look at Jace, who was standing protectively in front of him.
"I... Alpha... I...,"
"Save it," he said furiously, cutting me off, and then turned and went down on one knee, placing his hand on Harvey's neck.
I quickly moved too and knelt down next to him in fear and with a rapidly beating heart.
"He's alive, luckily," he whispered as I sighed in relief.
I was about to press my hand on Harvey's chest when he lightly hit it.
"Don't. You have done enough as it is," he warned coldly.
"I'm so sorry, Alpha. I lost control for a second and got into a trance where I couldn't pull out easily," I answered sadly.
