All their hearts were pounding, as they waited for the next move.
However, when Hanzo smirked, and turned off the electric saw, James heaved a long sigh in relief. "Throw it further away from you," Mike barked aggressively, tightening his grip around his AK. Hanzo rolled his eyes, and threw the saw towards Mike who watched it slide along the floor until it stopped. However, as he looked down, Hanzo stepped forward surprisingly and leaned towards him, but his attack was stop as Mike reacted quicker, pulling the trigger and placing a bullet right through Hanzo's left shoulder.
Hanzo grunted, stopping his movement and putting his palm immediately on the spot Mike had shot. Blood started gushing out of that wound, and sweat dripped from the side of his face. "I can't believe you'd shoot your own friend," he hissed.
Mike laughed, a gigantic smirk pulling his lips as he approached Hanzo, "I don't have friends." He stepped past Hanzo and headed towards James, grabbing the knife he always kept within his waist band and sliced the restraints. "Did you get any information?"
"No," he shook his head, feeling his sore wrists as he said, "he drugged me; he figured out that it was a trap. He confirmed that August isn't dead."
Mike felt his heart skip a beat, and in relief, he nodded his head rapidly. He had not expected to hear that, since for the longest time all they had gone off was hope that she had remained safe within Dante's care. However, knowing that she was certainly alive was another step closer to finding her.
Hanzo laughed from the ground; he had fallen a few seconds prior. "Not for long," he chimed in.
Suddenly, Mike her shootings outside, and his head eased immediately. His Bluetooth headphone was not working in the appartement, therefore he sprinted towards the window. Another humongous van had arrived, and had started firing shots at Mr. Hawk and Sunzo's vehicles.
Mr. Hawk had been staring up the building when suddenly, shot came flying in and shattered the front windshield. Mr. Hawk immediately started reversing his car, which Sunzo started doing instinctively, as he rolled down the window and allowed Eric to take aim towards the car that had just pulled in. As they drove around, Eric fires shots, and since the car had not seen Sunzo's car behind them, Sunzo pressed on his accelerates and rammed straight into them.
Mike was focused on staring out the window, and James was also behind him.
The two individuals in the vehicle fell unconscious from the hit, and Sunzo, although had his eardrums ringing from the hit, descended from the car with his weapon drawn. He opened the driver's seat and saw that the airbag from around the front had been released. He reached the driver's seat and pulled it open, and although he was certain they were not going to wake, he shot a bullet straight into the skull of the driver, and then one in the individual from the passenger seat. Sunzo then screamed, "It's cleared."
Mr. Hawk's was breathing heavily, and Eric retrieved his gun, settling it beside him. They had all been taken by surprise, and Eric as well as Mr. Hawk descended from the vehicle to approach the car.
However, when they heard Sunzo murmur, "Holy s**t," on the earbud, they both glanced towards one another and quickened their pace. "We're f****d—"
"What's wrong?" Mr. Hawk asked as they approached the van. Sunzo was examining one of the bodies, and he ripped one of the sleeves. When both Eric and Mr. Hawk saw the tattoo that had been hidden underneath, both felt their throat clench as their breath shortened. They had not been expecting those people to be involved, and this was very, very bad.
They turned to one another, and even Sunzo had his palm sweating, "That's Sir D's sign."
"Sir D," Eric mumbled underneath his breath.
Mr. Hawk shook his head, "That means Hanzo and Dante both are affiliated with them." He sent a stressful hand through his hair, "This changes the whole game."
There was only one Sir D that everyone in the underground world knew of, and that was Drago.
Drago was an infamous underground drug lord, that nobody even knew his real name. He had such a wide empire, that many of his members infiltrated different aspects of society and he held the reigns. From government officials, to bank owners, to mayors and to the lowest ranks of store clerks; he had his people in too many branches. His men travelled different countries, smuggled drugs from foreign territories to others, that he even owned his own island in which all the merchandise his men transported were brought there, and barriers excluded that island from the outside world. He had eyes and ears everywhere, and he was the smartest man, that even some of his own maids in his castle had never even seen his face, or whom he truly was. He had an entire army, enough military power to go against the government himself. Thus why they trembled; Drago was a dangerous man.
The man turned towards me, and his sharp eyes scrutinized my features and I lowered my gaze. He appeared very aggressive, and he had the same dragon tattoo Dante had, on his neck. Suddenly, he smirked, and extended his hand forward, "I'm Drago, nice to meet you." There were about five guys behind him who nodded their heads towards me as well. (Chapter 41 of Raped by my Step-Brother; August meeting Drago).
Mr. Hawk cursed loudly, slamming his fist into the side of the vehicle. This was a completely game changer, since crossing Drago's territory was one thing they did not want to do, however that was certainly where August was. "We can't even get into a drug war with him; even if we do win, we'll get weakened."
Eric sighed, "How are we going to get to August now?"
"If I had not known you for a long time Wolf, I'd be leaving," Sunzo commented. "This was not part of the situation."
"And by the way," Mr. Hawk frowned, "why didn't Lotus tell us there was a vehicle coming? He must've seen it."
That was when they all raised their heads, and gasped. "Holy f*****g s**t," Eric whispered under his breath.
On the roof, there was an helicopter stationed there.
As Mike and James stared out of the window, observing them examine the car, it was not until James turned around that they realized something was wrong. There was a puddle of blood, but no Hanzo.
"Mike, he's gone," James shouted.
Mike turned around, and cursed under his breath. However, there was a blood trail, and they sprinted, following the trail. The door was wide open, and it led them towards the stairs. They were near the roof, therefore it was not long until they reached the last floor and opened the door to the roof. However, they were much too late. The wings had started swinging that they needed to cover their faces, but Mike was able to see a smiling Hanzo from inside as a pilot raised them off the roof and they disappeared within the air.
"He f*****g escaped."
"f**k!" Mike screamed aggressively, violently slamming his foot against the edge of the roof. "We f*****g had him—"
"Where the f**k is Lotus?" Mr. Hawk screamed in the earbud.
Mike's head swivelled around; there was no sign of Lotus anywhere. "He must've been taken—"
"That's a f*****g joke," Sunzo barked, "how could he have been taken."
"Don't f*****g yell at me, I don't know, we we're inside."
"Where the f**k is Hanzo?"
James sighed, "He got away."
"He got away?" Eric screamed.
Mike nodded his head, "Yes dammit, he got away."
"Then what was the f*****g purpose of you both going in there if you can't keep one man from getting away?" Mr. Hawk snarled, wanting to beat the brains out of both of them.
Mike scoffed, "I said don't f*****g yell at me."
"You can't even do one job properly," Mr. Hawk screamed. "Did you at least get the information we needed?"
"We learned that August isn't dead," James said with excitement.
There was a pause, then Mr. Hawk said, "That's it?"
"What else did you want from him Dad?" Mike defended James.
Mr. Hawk scoffed, "At least where the f**k she's at."
"You know he wouldn't give that away even if he didn't know it was a trap."
"I tried but he drugged my drink—" James attempted to say but Mr. Hawk cut him off."
"Then be f*****g smarter next time, unless you saw him pour the damn drink, don't f*****g take it." Mr. Hawk was beyond furious, and as he stomped towards his car, he wanted to punch everything in sight. However, one thing that he had not expected was what happened next. In one moment, his entire life made a complete turn.
Rami jumped from the car in urgency, and when they saw him sprinting towards them, they all stopped in their steps. He seemed in fear, shock, and panic as he gasped for air, continuing his speed. However, before he even reached them, he screamed what had happened, and Mr. Hawk thought he had a heart attack.
"William was shot! He's unconscious; he lost a lot of blood!"
