Prince William left the stables that night never knowing that he had been seen by anyone. He truly believed he was alone. Had he known that Kyler Dern, or the person who was Kyler Dern to him, had seen him shedding tears, he would have made poor Kyler’s (Emberly’s) life completely horrible. Thankfully for Kyler, William did not know he had been seen.
The hallucination he had seen when holding that flower had been extremely similar the nightmares he’d had when he was sick the previous year. The Healers claimed that he was only seen these horrible things because of the never-ending fever. Will did not know if he agreed with that. He just knew that the things he had seen implanted an overwhelming and deep fear that he was not going to be a good enough king.
