She climbed on the bed, a pair of reading glasses perched on her nose. She arranged herself comfortably leaning back against the headboard, with the pillows propping her up, and pulled the sheet up to her lap, modestly covering her long bare legs. Picking up her paperback, she studiously ignored her half-naked nephew who sprawled back watching her from his place on the cot. Sitting there in her thin, short-sleeved bedjacket, she could feel the intensity of the young man’s gaze. Finally, she looked up and squarely met his adoring, puppy-dog eyes. “What is it, Troy?” she asked, mildly exasperated.
