THE NAGA ll

1084 Words
The king and Queen gave space to the other sons. They needed time to come to terms with the curse, even though it was impossible. As usual king Jerald spent most of his Afternoons at Elder Lee's tree in Deadman's Forest. One evening he took long in Deadman's forest and fell asleep and soon it was midnight. He was only awakened by a loud screaming, wailing sound. He looked over and it was the night catcher burning in hell fire. “let the games begin,” Elder Lee stated. King Jerald looked up at him confused. “Ergad kingdom is now an abandoned kingdom and no people move about. The night catcher survived on human souls and abilities but for centuries it has been starving. There were no souls nor powers to steal. He was dying so I gave him a solution,” a smiling elder Lee stated. “What have you done?,” king Jerald asked. “Just wait, we want Clarris, and this is just bet,” “I do not understand,” before king Jerald could finish his sentence, the ground began shaking and light appeared. From it came a Naga, half snake half woman, she let out a loud wail that woke up the entire seven kingdoms. “My son! My son!” she cried out. King Jerald couldn't not believe his eyes, Nagas had gone extinct for centuries. Indeed the Deadman's forest was home to a lot of creatures. The Naga tried freeing her son but to no avail, the curse was too powerful for her. She kept throwing all she had on her burning son which forced Clarris to show herself. King Jerald had not laid eyes on her for centuries and she looked as magnificent as the last day he had seen her. “Stop it you fool! Or I will be forced to curse you too,” Clarris yelled at the Naga. The Naga faced Clarris with fury in her eyes, “Clarris free my son, or else,” she ordered. “Or Else what! I dare you, your son knew the rules and he broke them,” Clarris hissed. “He made a mistake, spare him,” the Naga ordered again. “This is the third time he has tried to harvest souls from the cursed, I spared him more than once. You should have locked him up.” Clarris turned and pointed at elder Lee “It's him, he told your son to harvest from my property. ” The Naga looked up at elder Lee with fury. She moved swiftly and encircled the tree. To King Jerald's surprise the Naga was able to touch elder Lee without fail. She wrapped herself around him “Why did you lead my son to his death,” “He was hungry and drying, all thanks to the b***h standing there. He was confident of harvesting, I would have stopped him if he weren't confident. The fight is with the monster that had left him almost boneless. Why do you live by her rules.” elder Lee asked her. “Shut up old fool,” Clarris intervined. The Naga threw her venomous spit on Clariss, Clarris dodged the spit by mini seconds. Her eyes turned black and with fury she unleashed her hell fire but the Naga teleported in a swift. This made Clarris frustrated and furious “Darrell, get her! How dare she,” Clarris shouted. She turned and faced elder Lee, “What have you done, you fool! There is a balance of power in this forest,” “I only pointed at the food to a hungry child,” Elder Lee pointed out. King Jerald only stared at Clarris who turned and faced him, and after centuries they locked eyes. “Inform Lotus that I might consider granting his wishes,” she said with a faint smile and disappeared. “You filthy animal,” king Jerald yelled out.  “Do not mind her, go after the Naga, you need to make an alliance with her. She is powerful too,” elder Lee shouted out. “But Elder, she has been watching and listening to us.” “Clarris sees everything, go after the Naga, she hides near the Blue waterfall.” “How is she even the mother to a night catcher?” king Jerald asked confused. “No idea,” king Jerald got on his horse and set off. After riding for hours he came to the waterfall but stopped when he found Darrell. “Go back, she can't help you,vClarris wants her dead. You Know what happens to people that intervene?” “What is she going to do to her?” king Jerald asked. “Kill her of course,” Darrell replied. “Why is she allowing my sons to go beyond eighteen years, what has changed,” the king asked. “Ain't you supposed to be Happy that she has given you more years with your sons?” Darrell replied in his usual slow tone. “What's the point you fool,”  Darrell just smiled, “stay away from the Naga, she is mine.” and he disappeared. King Jerald was left frustrated, he was hungry and tired and the sun was almost rising. He got off his horse and decided to rest before heading back. But he was awakened by the sound of a woman crying, he knew it was the Naga. He quickly got up and followed the sound into a huge cave.  He could see blood everywhere, she had not escaped Clarris's fire unhurt. “what do you want, leave this curve before I take your soul,” the Naga cursed. “I'm a cursed man there is nothing you can do,” King Jerald replied. The Naga appeared behind him and hissed, “whether cursed or not I will break you into pieces, you all took my son away.” “If you are powerful enough to kill a cursed man, then why hide in this cave and live under Clarris's rules?” King Jerald asked with curiosity. The Naga stepped back and continued crying. “You are losing a lot of blood, and Clarris will find you. I'm Jerald, the king of Ergad.” “She might have eyes everywhere but not in my Cave. I have thrown my scent somewhere, it will be days before she realizes that, stupid Jerald. It's all your fault that we were displaced and forced into hiding.” the Naga shouted at Jerald.
