Clarris wore a pink silk dress with pearls and diamonds laced on it. For centuries she had been putting on black only but today she decided to change colour.
Darrell couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing. Clarris was beautiful but before the curse she was the innocent simple type but now the fearlessness added to her beauty and she looked elegant.
“Close that jaw before a bug enters it” she said to Darrell, who kept staring at her.
Darrell snapped out of it and looked away. Cleselda joined them but was not too pleased with asking for the knights from the emperor.
“Are you honestly going to let this useless thing dictate your decisions,” Cleselda asked whilst pointing at Darrell.
Darrell scoffed and looked away.
“Why do you have the tendency to spoil a beautiful morning?” Clarris replied.
“We are running out of time, every second that thing in Ergad is becoming stronger,” Cleselda said out.
Clarris sighed, “first of all the Nemo is still holding on to King Jerald, that's his weakness. He hasn't come to terms that if he wants to kill me he has to kill his father first.”
“That's why we need to act fast,” Cleselda pointed out.
“Secondly Lotus and Marcus are mere human beings now, I removed the curse on them in hopes of Killing them infront of Rachel and stupid Jerald but it did not go as planned. And now Marcus is a water whilrder?” Clarris said out in anger
Cleselda was quiet for a minute
“Meeting Emperor Marcelo will also advantage us. I'm sure they will try to warn him about us wanting to sacrifice his Dark knights and form an alliance but not on my watch. If the emperor learns that there is something more powerful than me, they will all come for me. We need to isolate them just like we have done for centuries.”
Cleselda smiled finally, “you are now making sense. And I have a perfect idea. We need to cut water supply into Ergad. That Nemo is dependent on water and Marcus needs water for his new ability.”
Clarris was impressed, “Get on with it and I will do the negotiating, Darrell get the cart ready.”
In Ergad Lotus was still in pain, an hour had passed but his arm was still dislocated. Omen finally came up after an hour of persuasion.
“See what you've done,” Rachel yelled out
“Calm down my love, remember he is only two days old.” King Jerald reminded her, “We have to be patient with him.”
“He insult me.” Omen replied
Lotus looked at him furiously “Marcus tried to kill you and you let him off but you got offended by my words?”
“Thou talk too much,” Omen countered.
“Did you guys hear that?” Lotus asked everyone. Nephius was enjoying this and couldn't keep a straight face.
“Why is he not healing?” Rachel broke up the cat fight.
“Clarris took his beshrew,”
“What!” everyone asked in unison while looking at Miguel for interpretation.
Miguel could Understand old original English but not all words, “I have no idea what a beshrew is?” Miguel replied.
“I think we should start teaching him our English,” Daniel suggested to which Omen interjected and asked them to learn his English.
“Bring him near,” Omen requested while pointing at Lotus.
“How come we can understand him sometimes?” Barrick asked confusedly.
“He is speaking English dummy, the original English before it got diluted through centuries, I'm surprised father and mother are unable to understand him.”
“We are not that old,” a very pissed Rachel replied.
They moved Lotus close to the water and Omen held his hand with just one touch and the bone went back into position.
Lotus moved his arm around and smiled, “it is fixed!” he shouted out. As usual without thinking he held Omen's ears with both hands and said, “Don't you ever do that again baby……” before he could finish he realized that he just pulled the ears of the most powerful creature. Omen looked at him with a straight face. His eyes turned red and the emeralds on his forehead began emitting light. Lotus's heart started beating fast and somehow his bladder gave up and he urinated on himself.
Omen watched has the urine dripped in his water and the castle began shaking,
“Omen calm down!” King Jerald yelled out while coughing. His chest was heavy and was now having difficulties in breathing.
Marcus rushed forward and whirled the water out fast replacing it with clean water. His other brothers watched in amazement.
“How did you learn that so fast," Miguel asked
“I have been reading a very exhausted,” Marcus replied
“Are we all going to ignore the fact that someone just urinated on himself,” Nephius said out and they all burst out laughing. King Jerald couldn't remember the day he saw his wife laughing or heard laughter in the castle.
Omen went under again then came up and said “Lotus and Marcus are now mere human beings.”
“Beshrew means curse, Clarris took the case that's why she was strangling Lotus. He is no longer cursed,” Miguel finally interpreted.
“Even Marcus,”
“There is only one way of finding out,” Nephius said while pulling out a knife.
“No no, no one is cutting anybody's throat,” King Jerald ordered. “How is this even possible?”
“She planned Killing 'em 'i' front of thy eyes,” Omen replied
“Yes but you struck her stupid heart and sent her running. But Lotus should also have his powers back?” Barrick added
Lotus laughed out like a mad man confusing everyone. “if you all can excuse me I need to take a bath and scrub the humiliation off my body,”
Nephius wanted to pass a joke but King Jerald gave him a serious face. Marcus also got up without saying a word. And they both left the dungeon.
“Are they pissed because they are no longer cursed?” Miguel asked, confused.
“Clarris can walk in here and snap their necks. She can't take the rest of you supernaturally because Omen is blocking her. She is now breaking the curse and getting rid of you physically” Rachel corrected.
“Omen curse them back,” Barrick suggested
Omen just rolled his eyes.
“Here, can you find a way to get this to Emperor Marcelo,” Rachel said, handing the letter to Omen.
Omen closed his eyes and the emeralds on his forehead lit up. He spoke in a different language and chanted some words and a zuo appeared, an ancient mythical bird. He then gave it the letter and it disappeared.
“WOW!” a very impressed Barrick said out.
“We need eyes into Basvel Palace,” Rachel ordered
“Step mother thou enjoy ordering me around,” Omen said and went under. They all looked at each other surprised.
“My king you see, since when did I order him around and call me Rachel,” Rachel stated in frustration.
“Calm down,” King Jerald intervined. “Omen!”
Omen came up annoyed, they all now noticed that he obeyed king Jerald
“I… be… hungry,” Omen said out
“He is hungry,” Miguel interpreted.
“We all heard him, Daniel go and get fish for him.”
“Human heart,” Omen corrected, sending shivers down everyone's spine.
They began moving backwards, “I was joking, bring chicken and meat, Barrick hie primrose with the spice” Omen stated with a grin on his face.
They all sighed in relief and the boys rushed to the kitchen. Rachel was furious. She knew Clarris was gathering ground but the creature that was supposed to save them was on a break demanding food. King Jerald asked her to take him to his bedroom. But before going she stared at Omen in dissatisfaction.
Omen ignored her, unknown to them he knew Clarris was heading to Arthora and she had barricaded him. She did it on purpose and knew he needed to kill his father in order to penetrate the Barrier.
Clarris and Darrell arrived in Arthora and was received by a thousand of Dark knights and sorcerers ready for war. Arthora had flourished and it looked like it had prepared for this day.
“I need to speak to the person in charge of this rubbish,” Clarris yelled out sending out echos
General Bentrek walked forward fearlessly
“I demand to see my nephew, emperor Marcelo,” Clarris demanded
“Over our dead bodies,” a fearless general replied and signalled his men to be ready. Clarris had no time for such rubbish.
She waved her hand and all the one thousand Dark knights and Sorcerers fell to the ground and began snoring except for General Bentrek. The general turned his head then back and faced a now serious Clarris.
“Now lead me to the emperor, like I said I come in peace. I have got an agent matter to discuss with him,” Clarris said to a now shivering General.
