The Fire benders took position and were about to unleash when a massive wind suddenly appeared and all the trees around became live. They all began fearing for their lives, they had seen magic before but not of this magnitude.
“Help me!…” an old voice screamed out. They all looked up and couldn't believe their eyes. A Willow tree walked towards them and stopped some meters away. In between it's branches was Elder Lee nailed to it's branches burning in an everlasting fire that was not scotching his body but kept burning.
Without thinking King Seth quickly flew up to the tree to untie him but was struck back by a huge force and Clarris appeared. “King Jerald warned all of you to stay away!........ But you all decided to ignore him, now you are going to face my wrath,” Clarris's voice echoed sending shivers.
She raised her hands and all the subjects of king Seth, her brother dropped to the ground. The other king's ordered their men to attack but they were too late, she whilreded her hands and unleashed everlasting hellfire on all of them except for king Seth and his subjects.
People in homes could hear the wailing of the men as they cried in pain.
King Seth tried to launch at her but she froze him, “hello baby brother, I will spare you and your men because you are my sweet brother.”
“You are hurting……me,” Seth cried out.
Clarris loosened her grip, “sorry brother.”
“Go, take your men and rule the other six kingdoms but leave Ergad alone for king Jerald. The other kings will burn forever for poking their noses in a personal affair.” she added.
“You can not punish the entire world because one man broke your heart,” King Seth stated in a faint voice.
“Did I come into your kingdom to burn you all or you all woke up this morning and decided to burn me? This curse is between me and Jerald. Anyone that interferes will burn in everlasting hellfire.”
“This is not worth it, stop all this and release these men. Arthora is ready to welcome you back.” he begged her
“No Seth,” she hissed.
“They came to burn me and I'm only returning the favor,” Clarris walked to where Seth was standing and held his face. King Seth began shivering in fear, Look at this from a positive angle, you are king of six kingdoms now, your name will be written in history. The only king that came out alive from the Everlasting hellfire. Go build your legacy, I will never bring harm to you nor your subjects on condition that you stay away from me and King Jerald.”
Clarris's snake-like hair began encircling king Seth's neck and he began gasping for hair, “Are we clear baby brother?”
“Y...e...s,” king Seth said between breaths. He could feel death and wanted to get away from her presence. He had his eyes completely shut the entire encounter in fear of seeing his pain. Clarris finally let go of him and he scrambled on the floor. She tipped her fingers and his army woke up from sleep. They could not believe what they were seeing. She ordered them to run without looking back or else face the same wrath. They all got on their houses and ran without looking back.
“I can smell you king Jerald,” Clarris hissed. Hiding from the bushes, came a scared Jerald, he had watched her wrath upon the six kingdoms in silence.
He whimpered as he walked towards her, the entire forest was littered with soldiers, knights, sorcerers and the five kings of the other five kingdoms, they were all calling on king Jerald to stop the pain. He looked up the willow tree and the sight of elder Lee disgusted him to the core. The man had been a mentor to him, he was like a father, he nearly dropped a tear.
“Clariss stop this madness, free them… this is between you and me” he ordered her.
“Shouldn't you be at the naming ceremony of your son,” Clarris stated and disappeared in thin air.
Seeing this king Jerald began climbing the tree in hopes of freeing elder Lee, but everytime he almost got to the branch holding the elder, he found himself on the ground. He tried climbing again but on each attempt he found himself on the ground. He tried touching one of the knights burning but his hand went through him. The entire place was cursed.
“My king I think we should get away from here, it's unfortunate but you had warned them but they did not give you an ear.” one of his sorcerers that had come searching for him stated.
“What are you doing here? no no it's good that you are here…. Undo this spell, I order you,” king Jerald stated.
“The man who would have had an idea about this spell is up that tree,” the sorcerer stated while pointing at elder Lee
“You are all useless, why do we even call you sorcerers?? Bring me an axe, we are going to cut this dumb tree down?”
“That's a bad idea my king, the more we make her angry the more people we lose.”
“Get me the dumb axe now!” the king yelled out
“Your l**t got us all here king Jerald, both my body and soul are rooted to this tree, the only solution is to undo the spell,” The elder spoke up.
“Elder Lee I'm so sorry??”
“Apart from the love of women which is your weakness you were my favorite student, go and research and bring that b***h down, you can do it, if you focus. Every evil has got a solution. There is nothing you can do for us unless you break the curse, she tied us to your curse. And everyone that will intervene, will face a similar fate.”
“No,” king Jerald cried out.
“You are wasting time, go and find answers.” elder Lee shouted out.
King Jerald wiped his tears and gathered himself up, “I will find answers, I will break this curse, even if it takes eternity I will defeat her.”
He got on his horse and rode to the castle. Upon entering the castle he went straight to the library but got stopped in his truck when he found his wife going through the books.
“Do not just stand there, get to work,” Rachel stated
“You should be resting, you just gave birth.”
“Resting won't undo the curse, I have heard what she has done to the other king's except for her brother. She needs to be stopped, grab the spell section, the other few sorceres we are left with have gone to Mellland, the land of Witches for answers.”
“By whose order?” King Jerald asked.
“My order, we can't all be looking for answers in one place,” Rachel replied.
King Jerald had no response, he walked to the spell section and began researching. Two days ago they were the happiest couple with a bright future ahead of them. Never did they anticipate getting cursed and living a miserable life for eternity.
Outside Ergad, word had gone around about the burning armies of the five kingdoms in The dead Man's forest. Those who were brave trekked and came to see with their eyes. The woman wailed at the sight of their husbands, sons and brothers burning. There was panicking and some people started fleeing into kingdom Arthora. They all heard the story of how the Deadman's Witch, Clarris, set everyone on fire except for her brother King Seth and his army. It was obvious that she wouldn't burn Arthora and that was the place everyone wanted to be.
King Seth locked himself in his bedroom and from his window he could see the burning hell fire. “My Lord, are you going to take over the other kingdoms, the wives of the burning king's need answers.” his councilman asked.
King Seth was a very troubled man, it was every king's dream to take over other kingdoms and he has just gotten handed the throne on a silver platter…….
