Consuming a large cheeseburger and fries with a cup of coffee feels like too much to handle. I have missed this kind of food for many years since I have been eating healthy after finishing school years, myself to only eat vegetables, chicken, and fish. However, the situation made me change my appetite for that day.
"I'm glad you like the stuff I ordered."
His voice cut my thoughts off and I turn my head sideways to answer him.
"Nothing is more palatable if you haven't eaten in more than twenty-four hours."
Then I shrugged my shoulders and watch the road when he stays silent on the steering wheel. My mind refuses to think about what just happened a few hours back. Now I owe him my life, he saved me. If it weren't for him I would have not survived the rogues.
