I am not sure what woke me up but I just suddenly rise from the bed and look around me. At first, the surroundings are silent. But after a few minutes have passed I can smell the scent of something so intoxicating. Musky vanilla with wood sage, it goes deep into my nostrils and inside my lungs through the veins of my body. I feel the need to find out where it is.
I have never felt something so potent and wild, it almost made my heart, ache with a certain longing that I can't quite comprehend. My feet touch the floor as my body moves to put a robe on the nightgown that my mother has prepared for me to wear this evening. The fabric hugs my body like a soft touch of a man.
