*Ashley *
I pressed the elevator with my trembling hands while holding Mrs. Anderson's arm on the other. We need to stay calm to not alert the other people in the hotel, however the commotion in the restaurant is already causing more attention as I can remember. I look behind me and saw Donald and his companion catching into us. Their eyes blazing with fire, i don't understand how Donald would act like this towards me. It doesn't feel like he is the same Donald I knew, it seems like another person is inside of him.
"Let's run and call the police Ash!"
Mrs. Anderson is shaking and her voice sounded like she is going to faint at any moment.
"Stay calm Mrs. Anderson, the police are on their way. Now let us go upstairs and lock ourselves until they come."
The elevator doors opened and I grab her inside while pressing the door to close immediately before Donald and his companion catches us.
"Miss Snipes wait! We just want to talk to you!"
I heard him shouted over and over before the doors close and we move up. "Oh my God! What is wrong with Donald? He doesn't look like the old man we used to know. My God Ash, I don't know who is human or wolf anymore! This world is full of beastly creatures, we are not safe!"
Mrs. Anderson trembles while pressing herself in the wall of the elevator. The tears are threatening to fall from her eyelids.
"Please be calm, we are going to be alright. I know the wolves from the Royal pack are here, they don't hurt humans. They won't hurt us."
"No Ash! wolves are all the same! They are monsters, you should not let any one of them in the hotel. Did you forget what happened to your father, how your father died?"
"Please stop Mrs. Anderson! I don't want to hear you talking about my Dad's passing!"
I raised my voice when I couldn't take it how she is panicking anymore. The elevator door opens and we get out to find my door. I search for the keys inside my hand bag when I hear the stairs of the emergency exit thumping, they have been following us.
"Hurry up Mrs. Anderson I think they are here."
"Oh God!" She murmured with her eyes wide as she stick herself beside me. I opened the door of my room and we get in together. We shut the door and lock it twice when I heard the steps getting closer towards us.
We both step backwards looking at the door when someone from outside started pounding on it really hard. "Let's go inside the bedroom Mrs. Anderson, now!"
We both run to my bedroom and again I lock the doors from the inside just in time when I heard the front door burst open. They have managed to get in. "What the?! Did they just opened up your front door Ash?!"
Mrs. Anderson began to step back and forth while I look at my bedroom door. If they can open the main door then there's no way we could be safe in this room. I turn around and saw the door to the balcony, it's too high for us to get down from there. We will have no way to run or escape if they destroy the bedroom door.
Just then I heard men shouting outside our door. It's like more people have gotten inside my place. "Oh God Ash! What are we going to do? We have no match against this creatures, they will surely kill us and why are the police not coming in the hotel yet? Oh my God I have left my phone in the restaurant, I have to call my family."
"Shhhh, Don't make any noise Mrs. Anderson. I heard more people outside our door."
I look deep into her eyes while calmly listening to the voices outside. It sounds like they are fighting, maybe the wolves with Prince Vincent came to help us. I knew it from my heart that they aren't the enemy.
I've have live in the Langston palace for year's and they have done nothing to hurt me. Instead I stayed there to be protected by the pack.
"Oh my God! There's more of them now!?"
The panic in her voice made me feel pity towards the old woman, she doesn't trust the wolves and I couldn't blame her for that.
"I'm sorry Mrs. Anderson it's not what you think. Not all the wolves are trying to hurt us, the Alpha King who lives in the Langston palace are actually trying to keep the human race safe. He has wolves protecting us, and Prince Vincent his son has known my family. We might have a misunderstanding when my father died but my mother fully trusts him."
"Oh Ash, I don't know what to really believe right now but I am praying that the police will come to save us."
There is a loud banging in the walls outside and the howling of wolves. Mrs. Anderson drop down on her knees and started crying while keeping her voice low and mumbling a prayer.
"Please stay calm Mrs. Anderson."
I don't know what to say to her anymore so I sat down in my bed and listen to the noise outside our door. As long as it stays shut, I think that we are safe inside.
I took a deep breath in and close my eyes, I hope they would all go away and leave us to safety. I hope that the police gets here in time. But a loud bang coming from my bedroom door almost blew my ears away. Donald appeared in front of us, already half transformed into a wolf. A beast as how Mrs. Anderson hysterically shouted.
He made a loud growl and walk towards me, I took a few steps backwards and feel the cold glass wall of my bedroom's balcony. "Don't come any closer Donald!"
I warned him, aware of the trembling voice coming from Mrs. Anderson. "Donald don't do this, Miss Snipes is our employer. Remember how her mother help you into getting this job."
He made a turn to meet her but before his hand reaches for Mrs. Anderson, I screamed. "No!"
And then she fell into the floor, losing her consciousness before he could even touch her. Another wolf gets inside the room, a furry dark brown wolf who immediately tackled Donald in one swoop of his sharp claws. His eyes look at me, and from there I know he is the same eyes as Prince Vincent.
"Damn you! I would slith your throat before you could get your hands on Ashley!"
Everything happened so fast another wolf gets behind Donald and break his neck in a split second. I look away and hold my breath while the smell of blood filled the air in the bedroom. I suddenly feel that I am safe but the entire situation have drained what energy I have left in my whole body.
"Ashley, are you alright?"
His voice sounded worried. Before my eyes shutdown and the darkness takes over my mind, strong arms have enveloped my body in a tight embrace. His warmth gives me the comfort to succumb into a much needed rest.
