Chapter 17 – Boarders
“The Calaeno has been destroyed,” Eliza announced over the public address from wherever she had holed up.
The station—as well as some parts of Port Weir and many places on the planet—erupted in cheers.
Dale grinned and high-fived his soldiers. The Battle of Red Sky may have just been a distraction, but it was still one they needed to win. With the destruction of the Calaeno, they were halfway there.
“The Giedi is heavily damaged,” Eliza continued, “but it is still headed for Red Sky. It is no longer within our railguns' field of fire. It will force-dock in moments. Bay nine. All MDF volunteers should head for that bay as quickly as possible to repel boarders.”
