Ellen dropped the phone on the bed and went to stand in front of the mirror. She stared at her eyebags and how huge they were. She had put in extra effort and had messed up the little sleeping schedule that she had with the team meeting and trying to be innovative. She could not believe how easily they let her go. She was also in awe as to how she had handled Ronan this time. It seemed like he was not worried at all and like he was loving the attention that was thrown her way. Maybe they liked that they were shipping them together even though all the hate was targeted towards her. Did the sudden spotlight on him make the share prices of his company go up? Was that why he was trying to stall finding a solution? She did not know why he was acting that way, and all she had were conclusions.
