Victor (POV)
Ember laid on my chest sleeping. I listened to her soft breaths. I was still processing everything that happened tonight. Ember was something else. I had never seen anything like her. She was strong and fierce. I didn't understand her and Sam's bond. He was like her shadow. He stayed behind her the whole time. It was like the two of them were one. He knew every move she was going to make as she was making it. It was strange and amazing at the same time.
Ember said she didn't have a romantic bond with Sam and that he was stuck with her. The bond was more, way more. There was so much about Ember that I didn't know or understand.
Ember softly whimpered in her sleep. I pulled her tighter to me. She whimpered a few more times. Her bedroom door flew open and Xavier and Sam burst
