Stephan (POV) Alpha Jameson stayed to eat with us. We sat at the dining room table for a little bit talking, waiting for Xavier to get back with Jason and Sawyer. Ember looked like she was going to pass out. She looked exhausted. I know she wanted to wait until they got back, but I managed to talk her into going to bed. "Stephan, I'm sorry," she said, looking at me with a sad look. "I know you wanted to spend sometime with your mate, but I'm too exhausted to fight the bind." she said, falling onto the bed. "Baby, you don't need to be sorry. We will have plenty of time to spend together. You need your rest." I said, helping her get right in bed and covering her up. "Are you upset?" she asked, looking worried. "Little bear, I could never be upset with you." I said, kissing her head.
