Ember (POV)
After Xavier left, I headed back to my room. I didn't realize how much it would hurt to be away from him. My plan was to try and sleep through the pain.
Jess was still sleeping, but Nina and Annie were up. They walked down to see Conner and Sawyer off. Annie had not accepted Conner officially yet, so she was not feeling the pain as bad as I was. And Sawyer and Nina were not mates. But Nina had her share of pain with her mate.
"What do we do now?" Annie asked.
"I'm going back to bed. I didn't get much sleep." I said, walking towards my bedroom door.
