When we left Waffle House, it took us about thirty minutes to get back to his pack territory and pack lands. I know that it shouldn’t matter, but even in the dark, Silver Wind is beautiful. As he pulled up the driveway, the pack house came into view. It looked big and wonderful and grand and all of the nice things anyone could ever want, but I know I can’t get used to it. I know that this will never be my world. He parks the bike and then cuts the engine. As I start to climb off, he starts to chuckle. “What is it?” I remove the helmet and look at him as he flips his visor up and nods to another bike nearby. “They beat us here. I hope you weren’t expecting a night full of sleep.”
