The following morning, I woke up with Isabella draped across my body. She is breathing evenly and is still sound asleep. I pull the alarm clock over and check the time. I can’t believe we slept this late. It is already nine o’clock in the morning. I gently nudge her and brush her hair out of her face. “Isabella… Hey, it is time to wake up.” She groans and turns her head away from me. I chuckle and continue to rub her back. “Isabella… If you don’t wake up, I’m going to have to tickle you.”
I watch her peek one eye open and look up at me with a frown. “You wouldn’t dare.”
