Not bad for a saloon.” “I recommended Harry bring in something a little more upscale,” Linda replies. “Told him I was having a special guest.” Wendy Valence holds her glass of brown spirits up to the light. “And not watered. Cheers.” The women imbibe making steady eye contact, ignoring Todd, sitting at the table with a glass of warm water, Wendy ordering for him and insisting that it come from the tap. “So progress?” Linda prompts. “I put out a little bait.
