Edward Hermans enters the apartment building with apprehension. In his hand is a hard copy of the email from Linda Rankin... U.S. Deputy Marshal Linda Rankin he reminds himself.
Ninth Floor, apartment 912. Not a problem. But there are demands and such remind him of his years under the thumb of swindler Dorothy Tinsdale. Upon exiting the elevator, there will be a suitcase waiting under a hallway end table. In it will be what he is to wear before knocking on the door of apartment 912... and nothing else!

Curse these women! What will be in the suit case?
Hence the apprehension as he exits the elevator and spies the suitcase, innocuously resting under a cheap but presentable table in the ninth floor lobby area.
