For some reason, I had gotten that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. It wasn’t from the miscarriage or my pills. It was something you felt when something happened to a loved one. That… f*****g feeling. As I was sitting in the living room with Lincoln, Natalie, Sasha, Ayden, Adonis and Mia, I couldn’t help myself. I covered my face and burst into tears. Not the hysterical cry, but enough to get tears out.
“Jess?” Mia called my name, calmly. “Jess, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t know.” I sniffled. “I think something’s wrong.”
“What do you mean?” Ayden asked.
Before I could say anything, somebody’s phone rang. Adonis reached into his pocket and took his phone out, then he answered the call.
“Hello?” He answered.
His eyes widened and he got up, immediately.
“Are you serious?”
