Then, right in front of me, they agreed to go on a date tomorrow. I wanted to scream, to lash out, to do anything to stop this madness. Allison had even told Rajesh her name was Seraphina, the same name she used when she was fat and we were still married. My mind was racing, filled with rage and desperation.
I knew I couldn't let this happen. As soon as Allison walked away, I turned to Rajesh. "Rajesh," I said, trying to keep my voice steady, "you can't go on a date with her."
Rajesh looked at me, curiosity flickering in his eyes. "And why not?" he asked, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Because she used to be mine," I replied, my voice dropping low with intensity.
