chapter 1: the flashb
Annalisa's POV I'll never forget the day my life changed forever. It was a typical afternoon, with the warm sun shining through the kitchen window, casting a golden glow over the room. My mother was busy baking cookies, the sweet aroma filling the air and making my stomach growl with anticipation. I was sitting at the kitchen table, doing my homework, when suddenly, I heard the sound of wolves running towards our⁶ house. At first, I thought it was just the neighbor's dogs, but then I saw my mother's expression change. Her eyes locked onto mine, and I saw a mix of fear and determination in them. She quickly ushered me towards the stairs, but I hesitated, unsure of what to do. "Go, Lisa!" she urged, her voice firm but laced with a hint of panic. "Go upstairs and lock the door!" I didn't know what was happening, but I knew it couldn't be good. I took the stairs two at a time, my heart pounding in my chest. As I reached the top, I heard my father step outside, trying to talk to the wolves. But they denied him, their eyes glowing in the dark. I peeked through the window, and what I saw made my blood run cold. The wolves were shifting into their true forms, their bodies contorting and changing before my eyes. My father, too, transformed, his eyes flashing with a fierce inner light. The air was filled with the sound of snarling and growling as they clashed, their bodies locked in a fierce battle. I watched in horror, my mind unable to process what I was seeing. The wolves were everywhere, their jaws snapping shut, their claws swiping through the air. My father was fighting hard, but he was outnumbered. I saw my mother join the fight, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination. And then, everything changed. My father was overpowered, and the wolves turned on my mother. I watched in slow motion as they attacked her, their jaws snapping shut around her body. I felt a scream building in my throat, but it was trapped, unable to escape. My mother's laughter stopped, and she lay there, . The wolves, sensing their victory, turned and ran away with my mother, disappearing into the night as suddenly as they had appeared. The silence that followed was deafening. I stood there, frozen in shock, my mind unable to process what I had just witnessed. My father, still in his wolf form was laying there covered with scars. few days after searching my father told me that my mother was dead I knew, in that moment, that my life would never be the same. The day my mother died was the day my childhood ended, and my journey as a special girl began. As I looked at my father, I knew that he, too, was forever changed. The pain and grief etched on his face would stay with him forever, a reminder of the loss we had suffered. And I, left alone with my thoughts, couldn't help but wonder: what did it all mean? Why had the wolves come for us? And what lay ahead for me, now that my mother was gone? no one had the answer to my questions As I sat in my room, staring at the old photograph of my mother, I couldn't help but remember the way she used to treat me when she was still alive. Her warm smile, her gentle touch, and her loving words all came flooding back to me. My mother, Sophia, was the kindest person I had ever known. She had a heart of gold and always put others before herself. I remembered how she would spend hours playing with me, reading me stories, and singing me lullabies. She made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. But what I remembered most about my mother was the way she would talk to me about my heritage. She would tell me stories about our family's history, about the werewolves who came before us, and about the special gifts that we possessed. She would explain to me that our kind was rare and that we had a responsibility to use our powers for good. As I grew older, I began to realize that my mother's words were not just mere stories. She was preparing me for a life that was beyond my wildest imagination. She was teaching me how to control my powers, how to navigate the complex world of werewolf politics, and how to stay true to myself. But my mother's passing left a gaping hole in my life. My father, though well-intentioned, was distant and cold. He threw himself into his work, leaving me to navigate the challenges of growing up alone. And my stepmother, Diana's mother, was cruel and heartless. She made it clear that I was not welcome in their family and that I would never be good enough. As I looked at the photograph of my mother, I felt a pang of sadness and longing. I wished that she was still here with me, guiding me through the ups and downs of life. But I knew that she was gone, and I had to find a way to move forward on my own. I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. I would make my mother proud, I vowed. I would use my powers for good, and I would never let anyone bring me down. I was a werewolf, and I was strong. ... That day i vowed upon my mother,i made a promise to myself and i sweared with their lives... i was going to make them pay for what they have done, i don't care for what reason they had behind their actions, and yes i didn't know why I don't have Evil intentions but nothing and not even my father was going to stop me from taking vengeance ... those rogues took away something precious from me. THEY TOOK MY MOTHER'S LIFE !!!
