Hunter's POV:
She escaped.
The only woman my very soul yearned for escaped in a matter of two days.
She barely escaped my grasp, I was so close and she somehow got away.
Her and that other scent.
We followed their trail for days, first the snowmobile trail, but when that led to a hotel, we sniffed it out. I found her scent scarce, but still there. We lost the trail of the snowmobile, there were many of those nearby, so we followed the trail of her scent to another hotel. I felt relieved when this scent became stronger, I still had hope she would be found. The other scent was with her, but I figured that whoever it was must be family, another way to get answers from her if needed.
