Two months later :

Unlike most days on which I woke up with the sunlight, this morning I woke up when the alarm I'd set on my phone rang. Of course, I snoozed it twice before snapping into reality and realising I was probably disturbing Zach's sleep because of my laziness, and then I had stopped the alarm and my eyes swung open at once.
But also, as usual, he wasn't beside me.
Zach's sleep problems were better. He slept through the night. There were still times he used to wake up with bad dreams and couldn't bring himself to fall asleep again, but we were slowly and steadily getting past it.
Just as I thought of that, his room's door opened and he walked inside tip-toeing silently probably to not wake me up, but relaxed upon seeing my eyes open already.
