'Tonight' never came.
Owing to the weirdly obstinate sleep schedules we've been having since the past few days, no one was sleepy even at midnight. And hence, the process continued: of playing board games and talking about random things until dawn, watching the sunrise with hot coffee, and then sleeping at.. five a.m.
There was one good thing that came out of it though- Zach was so physically drained until dawn that it didn't take him a lot to fall asleep for a couple hours without worrying about any of the nightmares. He slept only half the time a normal person needed sleep for, but I didn't complain. You have to take what you get sometimes.
His sleeping problem was a stone I could help him tackle after these harder days get over in the two nights I have before flying back to S
