I am quite dumbfounded about what the mysterious man said as I look at his fading silhouette in the darkness of the trees. ‘The principal? I thought he passed away?’ I thought to myself as I stare at the seemingly strange letter nesting in the palm of my hands. Van felt the eerie silence at the front of the house so he decided to check me out and saw me opening the letter that the stranger gave to me. ‘There is only one way to know what the contents are.’ I told myself as I tear the edge of the envelope. Seeing that I was not doing something out of the ordinary he went back inside the house. The initial content of the letter was about his thankfulness when I saved the city thirty years ago, apparently his family was on shopping that day and they also saw the fiery figure floating at the sky, or what is supposed to be the Jake that we used to know ready to unleash something that would have doomed them all. I was smiling despite the tears in my eyes kept sliding in my cheeks like raindrops. I was about to reach the end of the letter when he warned me that the next content might shock me and advise me to keep calm and be strong. After swearing to myself that I will do so, I proceeded to read the next paragraph. Then my world seemed to have stopped as I felt my blood immediately reached its boiling point and the veins on my arms and head protruded like roots of a tree. I grit my teeth in absolute anger and rage that I felt my vision darkened that I almost created an electrical field on the entire institute, destroying everything on purpose but I manage to keep my head cool despite the rest of my body wanting to destroy everything around me. Maybe it is because of the years that I have spent to control my emotions that I was able to disable the rest of my body from disobeying me, nevertheless the anger and pain that I am feeling right now is beyond everything that of when the tragedy happened. “Bastards!- I am going to kill you all- f*ck!” I bit my lower lip as and bleed as my fangs buried themselves on my poor little lip that did nothing wrong. Without me knowing, I was releasing a large electrical field that almost covered the entire Olympus that if it wasn’t for Van jumping out of the house I would have not noticed it myself. “Holy snacks!” Van exclaimed as he crashed on the ground through the door while still brushing his teeth. “What the hell was tha-“ I heard his voice stopped as I felt his gaze on my body then I turned to him with his eyes widen in fear. It was only then that I realized that one of my systems could not handle the stress that it automatically released something without my consent. ‘Huh? What was I doing?’ I asked myself as I erased the electrical field that triggered the alarm systems on the entire Olympus. Van immediately stood up with a confused but fearful expression and asked me with a fearful tone. “Uncle- what happened?” he then slowly walk towards me hesitant to stand almost next to me. The expressions in his face is telling me everything that he felt right now, fear, anxiety and confusion. “Why do you look like that uncle? You look really intimidating and scary yet so sad.” He said as his body tremble in fear. I can see on the distance that the staff and the students from the dorm panic from what I have released and started running around trying to rescue every student inside the dorm. “I’m fine, I can’t just accept what happened to the principal after everything we planned.” I lied as I crumple the letter on my hands and try to hide it from Van’s eyesight. “Is that so?- but still you can just let it out in so many other ways like punching a wall like normal people do.” Van said after I seem to have convinced him with my ridiculous excuse. He tried to comfort me and asked me to come inside so that we can talk about it, leaving him as the victor I went inside with him then all of the sudden a staff from the Olympus knocked at the door asking if we are okay. “Good evening Mr. Ambro, are you okay? Something strange happened that triggered all the alarm systems, I hope you are all okay.” The staff said with a concerned tone as he pants, catching his breathe. “We are perfectly fine sir, we were just about to sleep when you knocked at the door just now.” I said with a pained smile, the staff thought that I might be suffering from the death of the principal so he excused himself after seeing that things are fine. “We should just sleep uncle, and please do not do that thing again. You looked like a different person all of the sudden that it is so strange and grim for me.” he said as he entered his room. ‘The next content of the letter is so confidential and disturbing so I advise you to please keep yourself calm and restrain your special ability, we do not want any involve any innocent life. This information is confidential but I have no other choice but to tell you the truth, my conscience is killing me over the years until I can’t finally take it anymore. The tragedy thirty years ago was not coincidental nor natural, it was artificial and planned. The higher ups from the institute ordered and planned everything after receiving a ton of money sacrificing the students for a little experiment. Of course I strongly opposed their decision for the experiment since there are so many lives involved but they did something that I was not really expecting, they decided to go and use my family as a threat and so I was left in a pinch and eventually succumb to their threats. I am really sorry for your loss Rain but believe me with everything that I am telling you, they have been threatening my entire family even to this day. I have already foreseen my death so I decided to tell you the truth before I die, the saying ‘the dead does not tell stories’ let’s break that saying. What you plan to do next is entirely up to you but please spare my family from your wrath and in exchange I will tell you the identity of the person that planned all of this to happen.’ I lay on my back as I recall everything that was written on the letter that I read as I take out the crumpled paper from my pocket and read the name aloud. “Viktor Salem, CEO of the Pandora Institute.” I read the name aloud and burned his name on my head as I reached out to my phone. “Mr. () do you think you can meet me in the next few days? I have something that I want your help with.” *BEEP!* *BEEP!* *BEEP!* I ended the call as my eyes burn in anger seeking for vengeance
