Fist of Justice Part 2: Conclusion

The sound of the impact between that guy’s fist and Garet’s armor came pretty late like it happened so fast that sound was delayed for a few moments. What happened shook every single one of us present that made me doubt if I should charge in as well- no, I am a person with an offensive ability with my advantage as a long ranged attacker. ‘I cannot afford to get close to that guy, if he can take down Garet that fast without breaking a sweat then it would spell really bad for me if I get hit even once.’ So I manipulated the wind around me to go wildly. Which I have not done in the past but since the opponent is unexpectedly strong, I have no choice but to cross the border that I have not taken a step yet.

               ‘Woah- he was that easy to deal with? I expected that he should have blocked most of the impact with his armor but I stand corrected.’ I told myself as I stare at my fist that delivered a startling power that even I did not expect as the other one seemed to have taken me seriously. I dragged his friend to the side so that he cannot get hurt of what is about to happen. I saw the people around us are staring at me so intensely like their eyes are about to pop out of their eye sockets and the girls that I helped seemed to have the same reaction as well. Then suddenly I heard a gust of wind just right beside me- I immediately reacted like something is about to hit me even when I cannot see anything from his attacks and then I realized, the ground had a few attacks that looked like something sharp struck the ground. That guy used an attack using the wind as the blade- it’s quite an amazing and deadly attack for a person who just received his ability a few months ago. ‘A delinquent to have that ability is really dangerous- normal people could have died with just that attack. I need to knock him unconscious before he can harm other people with his ability.

               “Tsk!” I clicked my tongue the moment that guy moved out of the way and dodged the invisible attack that I made. ‘To think that he can dodge an invisible attack like that- he is quite troublesome after all.’ I told myself as I grit my teeth in pain. ‘That attack just now is not as fast as it seems, I need to make the wind move as fast as it can to build momentum and powerful attacks like that but it slows down the moment I try to attack the target- it is even more troublesome if the target is agile and can dodge my attacks even before it landed just like this guy.’ I look at the guy with contempt while trying to predict where he will be going next so that I can land my attacks properly. “Arg!” ‘Damned special ability- keeping this wall of wild wind around me is really hard- the backfire of using my ability is that my flesh feels like it’s about to be torn apart and the sensation is quite uncomfortable.’ My hands started to tremble in intense pain that I am experiencing right now but I can fall just yet, I need to deal some damage to that guy even for a bit. I need to avenge Garet so that my fall would not be wasted.’ I told myself as I continued to attack him with my very slow technique that he still manages to dodge every single time and just look at me with a worried expression.

               “I can’t believe the person that we talked bad about earlier is this strong.” Freya gasp as the invisible attacks continue to land on the ground. ‘How is he able to see through the attacks? Clearly there is no signal or signs that that guy is going to attack on that place so how is he doing that kind of thing?’ I thought as I praise the guy for his unbelievable and agile movements.

               I can see perfectly that that guy is under tremendous pain right now, maybe it is the effect of his special ability? His face is quite distorted than earlier so I guess he is desperate to get a hit on me since he knows that he will not last much longer than a few minutes if he attacks me constantly with his invisible attacks. ‘The wind around him slowly calmed after his few recent attacks- he must have forget about his defense since he might lose consciousness because of the intense pain that he is experiencing and decides to attack me without a care for himself.’ I told myself after I saw the window that would allow me to attack him without risking my second ability to be found out by everyone around here. I then sprinted towards him with everything I got without using my special ability, lightning. He saw me making my way towards him and decided to attack me in a straight line which is even easier to dodge. I made an instant halt and made a turn to dodge his attack as it landed on the ground where I stopped my feet and then I made a leap to close the distance between us but all of the sudden when I was about to touch him a sudden surge of wind started to envelope him again. ‘He deliberately made me think that he did not care about his defense and lured me to come near him and attack him head on knowing that I might close the gap in an instant.’ I thought to myself as I fell on his trap. Well, that is what I want to say but then I guess I can say that I have already predicted that something like this is about to happen.

               ‘Heh! Did you really think that I will let my defense down around you? Then you are greatly mistaken! It was just a bait to lure you in!’ I thought to myself as I flashed a grin knowing that I might be able to hit him hard with him closer to me and my wild wind as defense. In that instant, I also felt the gazes of the people who are watching our fight, the gaze of surprise about my tactic and the worry for this guy who is about to get decimated by me. ‘Even with everything that has happened, him getting lured into my trap and the despair that the spectators are feeling. So why do I feel uncomfortable even when I have the upper hand?’ I told myself as I felt fear crawl all over me, my limbs went numb thus making it hard to move a single step but then I saw him, no- I saw him smiling. It felt like he knew that I was luring him in and deliberately accepted my invitation. That’s when I realized that I was the one that was lured into his trap, yes- I have yet to see his true special ability and this distance might show what he really has.

               ‘I already know that this was your plan from the very beginning               and thanks to that I can use my ability outside of everyone’s sight.

*CRACKLE!* CRACKLE!* *CRACKLE!* *CRACKLE!*

               Everything seemed to have slowed down and that is when I saw it, something like electricity is slithering from the soles of his feet, moving towards me in a really fast pace. ‘This was his plan all along- he was hiding his special ability from the others and decided that the most effective way is to come close to me when everyone’s eyes are covered from the blind spot.’ I thought as I could not help but stare at what is about to happen in the seamlessly slow moving world where he is the only one moving so fast. I watched the electricity go under me and almost suddenly I felt my system shutting down the instant I felt a sharp pain on my feet.

               *BAM!*

               After my lightning shut him down, I throw in a punch at his guts to fool everyone that I knocked him down with my ability and caught his body as it fell on the ground like a corpse devoid of soul. Everyone gasp about what just happened, the defense that he put up immediately disappeared the moment he realized that his plan flopped and got lured into my bait instead. I silently put his body next to his friend and went straight to the girls who I handed my bag to and retrieved. “Thanks for taking care of this for me.” I said as I took my bag and left the scene without any trouble.
